(Allison's POV)

It’s been a week since I last saw Scott. After I left his company that day, I haven’t seen him again, and I thought he had decided to take my words to heart. But why do I still wish he was following me around like he did in the past couple of days?

“What would you like to eat?” Stefan’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts. He invited me out to dinner, and I couldn’t say no.

I smiled at him before picking up the menu on the table. “I’d love to have steaks.”

Stefan called the waitress over, and we placed our orders.

“Are you okay?” Stefan asked, and I slowly turned to look at him.

“Why do you ask?” I said in a low voice, answering his question with a question.

“You look absentminded, Allison. You’re here, but I feel like you’re not. And beside that, you’ve been staring at those couple at the far end,” Stefan said.

I glance at the young couple at the far end of the restaurant. They’re laughing softly, hands entwined, lost in the magic of a first date. It reminds m

(Scott's POV) I immediately pushed Jenna away from me after she kissed me. How dare she do that in front of Allison? I quickly turned to Allison to see her expression, but I couldn't tell if she was jealous or not. However, I could see her holding the edge of the chair as if she had just lost her balance. I rushed toward her, closing the distance between us. "Allie, it’s not what you think," I said, desperate to explain, but Allison simply gave me a smile that made my chest ache. Deep down, I wanted her to be jealous—just to feel like she still cared, even a little. "You don't have to explain yourself to me, Scott," Allison said, pausing to smile at Jenna. "You must be his girlfriend. Nice meeting you," Allison said. Her words cut through me like a blade. Six years ago, when I introduced Jenna to her as my girlfriend, I saw the pain in her eyes. But now, she was smiling casually at Jenna, as if it no longer mattered. I studied her expression, searching for a hint of jealousy, bu

(Allison's POV) I swallowed hard, staring at Scott. Was he really going to kiss me in front of everyone, or was this just another way to force me to talk to him? My pulse quickened as his eyes locked on mine. "Should I kiss you instead, since you don’t want to talk to me?" Scott’s voice was smooth but insistent, and I swallowed hard again. The countless times we had kissed flashed through my mind, sending shivers down my spine. Scott was a good kisser, no doubt about it. Back then, he’d kiss me for what felt like hours, his lips never growing tired, and his body always pressing against mine, making me feel every inch of him in the most intoxicating way. Stefan stepped in and took my hand away from Scott’s, snapping me back to reality. "Don’t you have any shame? You’ll kiss her in front of her fiancé?" Stefan’s voice was cold, but I could sense the protective edge behind it. Part of me wondered if he enjoyed playing the role of my fiancé a little too much when Scott was around.

(Scott's POV) Seated at the dining table with a box of chocolates in front of me, I couldn't stop grinning as I stared at Allison's message on my phone. She texted me back, warning me not to care about her, but I found it strangely endearing. I wanted to respond, but I didn't want to risk her blocking me, so I just kept my gaze fixed on her message, smiling like a lovestruck teenage boy who had just received a reply from his crush. Allison had told me she'd give me a chance to be a father to Liam, and I was more than happy about it. If I get closer to Liam, it would bring me even closer to Allison. I was determined to show her how sincere I was about having her back in my life. I didn’t care about Stefan. The very thought of him made my blood boil. I smiled again, looking at Allison's text. To a normal person, her reply might seem rude, but to me, it felt like a compliment. Maybe I was crazy—crazy in love with my Allie. I loved her before, and now, I loved her even more. "Sir, her

(Allison's POV) I thought about it all night, and I finally decided to give Scott a chance to be a father to Liam. However, I wasn’t going to tell my aunt or my brother about it. They both loathed Scott, and I didn't want my brother to know I had lied to him. This wasn’t for me—it was for Liam. He deserved to know his father, even if I couldn't fully reconcile my feelings with Scott. I had denied Liam the privilege of knowing his father, and that wasn’t fair to him. He didn't know about my past with Scott, and I wouldn’t let him suffer because of it. As for Scott, there was no way I would accept him back into my life. He was going to be Liam’s father, and that was it. I would have considered letting him back into my life if he had shattered my heart because he had an illness he didn't want to share with me, because he didn’t want me to worry. I would have understood that. But since it was for money and power that he exchanged for my love, I couldn’t understand him, nor could I forgi

(Allison's POV) I was in the kitchen, busy preparing lunch for Liam, when the doorbell rang. It was Sunday—a day I could spend quality time with my son before diving back into the chaos of work on Monday. Wiping my hands on my apron, I removed it, draped it over a chair, and headed to answer the door. It was Scott. He stood on my porch, his arms laden with brightly colored gift bags. I furrowed my brows in confusion, my gaze flitting between him and the mountain of toys he carried. "Hi, Allie," he greeted, flashing his signature smile that showcased those infuriatingly perfect dimples. His dark brown hair fell loosely over his forehead, giving him an almost boyish charm. Despite the years, he looked ageless, like a vampire forever trapped in his prime. "Allie?" he repeated, pulling me from my thoughts. I blinked and cleared my throat, trying to mask how flustered I felt. "Why did you bring so many gifts?" I asked, my tone sharp enough to keep my guard up. "I wasn’t sur

I crouched to his height and ruffled his hair gently. "Since when did you become a chatterbox?" I asked. "I was only telling Daddy what you said. Are you mad at me?" Liam asked in a low voice. "No, Mummy isn't mad at you, but you should only answer questions you're being asked, okay?" I said, trying my best to avoid making eye contact with Scott. "Okay, Mummy. I will keep that in mind," he grinned and rushed over to Scott, holding his hand. "You love my Mummy, right?" "Liam!" I called out his name. Here I thought he had listened to me, but he was still repeating those words to Scott. I felt so embarrassed. If I had known Liam was going to snitch on me, I wouldn't have said a word to him. (Scott’s POV) I leaned closer to kiss Allison. I’d been longing to feel her soft lips against mine again, to lose myself in the familiar sensation of devouring and sucking her lips just as I used to. It had been far too long, and my heart raced at the possibility. I wasn’t sure how she’d react—whether she’d get mad or allow it—but when she slowly closed her eyes, it felt like permission. My hand slid to her waist, gently pulling her closer. Her warmth pressed against me, and for a moment, it felt as though everything was falling back into place. As I lowered my head, our lips barely touched before Allison’s eyes shot open, and she quickly pushed me away. “Liam must be waiting for you. You should go to him,” she said, her voice composed but distant. She avoided looking at me, her eyes darting elsewhere like they couldn’t bear to meet mine. She had been doing that ever since I arrived—keeping her distance, evading any moment of connection. “I’ll be in my room. Call me when you’r

I want to rebuild my life with Allison, and Stefan feels like an obstacle in my reconciliation with her—especially since he’s her fiancé. (Scott's POV) "Mummy isn't breathing." Those words echoed endlessly in my ears as I drove at breakneck speed toward Allison's house. My heart pounded so loudly it felt as if it might burst out of my chest. Even with the car's air conditioning on full blast, my fear was so intense that I could feel the heat on my face. Allison had been perfectly fine when we spoke last night—no signs of illness, no complaints of feeling unwell. So what in the world could have happened? I pressed harder on the gas pedal, silently wishing I could grow wings and fly to her this instant. The memory of the last time Allison got sick flooded my mind; that was seven years ago, before our break up. She had been bedridden for two long, agonizing months, unable to speak or move much. It was the first time in my life I cried so miserably, thinking I might lose her. And now, with Liam's panicked call ringing in my ears, telling me she "isn't breathing," my eyes stung with unshed tears. I love her. I fucking

(Scott's POV) As I stepped into my mansion, a surge of happiness spread through me. No, it wasn’t just happiness—it was pure elation. Allison wasn’t engaged to Stefan. The relief that washed over me felt like a weight lifted from my chest, and for the first time in what seemed like forever, I felt like I could truly breathe again. Earlier, I’d lost control and kissed her, and even though it earned me a slap, I’d do it all over again without hesitation. Her lips… they felt just the same as they always had—warm, soft, and intoxicatingly sweet. I’d spent countless nights remembering those lips, wishing I could feel them against mine again. I missed her. I missed everything about her—the way she’d let me kiss her endlessly, the way she used to surrender to me completely, body and soul. I missed those quiet moments under the duvet when the world outside didn’t matter, when it was just the two of us, wrapped up in each other. Some nights, we’d cuddle and talk about our dreams; other n

(Allison's POV) I tried to pull away from the kiss, but I couldn’t because Scott held me firmly with his strength. His lips were rough against mine, filled with an intensity that felt more like punishment than passion. It was as though he was venting his frustrations on me, forcing his emotions into this unwelcome moment. Desperately needing to escape, I stomped hard on his toe. His grip faltered as he winced in pain, allowing me the opportunity to break free. Without hesitation, I added to his pain by slapping him squarely across the face. “How dare you kiss me unannounced?” I yelled, my voice trembling with anger. Scott stood still, his blue eyes burning with emotions I couldn’t decipher. He rubbed his jaw where my hand had struck him, but instead of lashing out, he stared at me with a mixture of hurt and defiance. “What’s your problem, Scott?” I continued, my voice rising in pitch as I momentarily forgot Liam was just in the living room and might overhear us. “What’s my prob

(Scott's POV) "Daddy!" Liam ran toward me, his little arms outstretched, when he realized I was the one at the door. I had just finished my meeting with a client, and I couldn't wait to see him. The meeting had dragged on longer than I anticipated, but I rushed over the moment I could, with the added excuse of wanting to see Allison too. "Where's your Mummy?" I asked as I scooped him up into my arms, feeling the warmth of his small body against mine. Before Liam could respond, Allison approached us. "Liam, I thought I told you never to open the door on your own," she said, her tone firm yet caring. She definitely fit the role of a mother. Six years ago, with her cute and innocent demeanor, it would’ve been hard to believe she could take on such a responsibility. But damn, she nailed it. "I'm sorry, Mummy," Liam quickly apologized. "You told me Daddy was coming, so that's why I opened the door when I heard the bell ring." "Even so, Liam," Allison said softly but firmly, "Yo

(Allison's POV) I sat down in the restaurant, patiently waiting for Naomi Holt to arrive. I had booked a VIP area because her fans might go crazy upon seeing her. But as I waited, my mind kept drifting back to Stefan's words. No doubt, he had been patiently waiting for me to love him. He’d done everything possible to show me his sincere feelings, convincing me that he was the right man for me. But could he really be my Mr. Right? "I still love you so much, Allie," Scott’s words surged through my mind. I immediately gulped down the wine in front of me, desperately trying to push both Stefan and Scott from my thoughts. Just as my mind threatened to overwhelm me, Naomi stepped in at the perfect moment, distracting me from the chaos in my head. "You must be Allison McCall, right?" she asked, removing her sunglasses with a gracious smile. She wasn’t a famous model for no reason. I stood up and extended my hand. (Allison's POV)"Mummy, when is Daddy coming to see me?" Liam asked as I prepared him for school."Do you miss him already?" I asked with a smile, though it didn’t quite reach my eyes. I didn’t want my son to find out what was going on between his dad and me. It would break his heart to know that his parents weren’t getting along.I knew how that felt because I used to be a kid too. Anytime my parents fought or threatened to divorce, my heart sank in sadness. They might have been wonderful parents to both Alex and I, but they always fought—almost every day. Being the eldest, I would always cover Alex's ears so he wouldn’t hear their arguments.I didn’t want my son to experience what I went through as a child, and that’s why I was determined to try my best to put up with Scott.
