Chapter 0006

“From the moment I remember, you asked me to work with the servants. I am the one who has been doing all the housekeeping work in this house all these years. I even had to wash your feet.” Renea's voice was cold as ice.

When Renea was a child, she often wondered why her mother didn’t love her.

“The servants get paid, but when did the Morris family ever given me a salary?”

Susan was intimated by Renea’s cold and fierce momentum, and she subconsciously took a step back…

For a fraction of a second, Susan saw the hatred in Renea’s eyes. It was like she wanted to kill her…

However, it was only for a second and Susan felt that she was mistaken…

“Dear mother, let me ask you a question. Have you really lost Kailey when she was a child? After all, from your actions and demeanor it didn’t seem like the case at all.”

Hearing her words, Susan’s complexion turned unpleasant. Her gaze was evasive as she dared not meet Renea’s eyes.

After all, Renea's guess was right.

Seeing the situation turn unfavorable toward them, Kailey immediately held onto Susan and spoke in a pitiful tone, “Mom, don’t be mad at Reena. If you act like this, I might think it’s all my fault.”

“It’s just a few pieces of clothing. If Renea wants to buy them, then just let it be.”

Kailey’s voice was sweet and soft! Renea had lived in this wealthy family for eighteen years, yet she couldn’t bring herself to say something so generous.

However, Renea’s lack of reaction caused Susan’s frustration to grow even more. “We have spoiled you over so many years. You should learn some manners from your younger sister in the future.” Susan said angrily.

Hearing Susan’s words, Renea burst into laughter. “How ridiculous!” she mumbled.

“You!” Susan was so infuriated that her face turned green and white.

“Miss Renea, you have a letter.” At this moment, the butler came up and handed over the letter.

However, before Renea could receive it, Susan snatched it away and opened it.

“An admission letter from the Dream High Academy?” Susan was shocked.

After all, Susan had always thought that Renea was a simpleton, believing that even if Mr. Morris intended for Renea to join the Blue Records, it wouldn’t pose a threat to them.

“How dare you apply for a media academy behind my back?”

“Why do I need your permission? Who are you to me?” Renea replied indifferently.

“Give this spot to Kailey. She excels in various arts and skills, so she is well-deserved to enter the Dream High Academy. It would be waste for you to go there,” Susan ordered.

“Well-deserved? If you think she is so well-deserved, then why don’t you let her take the exam? It’s not like I have taken the last seat, and she didn’t have the chance, right?” After Renea finished speaking, she snatched the letter from Susan and intended to close the door.

Susan had always boasted how proficient and excellent Kailey was in all arts and skills, yet she couldn’t even pass the admission exam of the Dream High Academy.

Thinking about how Susan had been exceedingly attentive to her those days in the past so that she could relinquish her spot to Kailey… Renea’s lips curled up into a mocking smile.

Renea blamed herself for being so naive in her past life. She thought that she could make them love her a little more by pleasing and compromising.

She gave up the opportunity for Kailey and ended up attending an ordinary university.

Kailey successfully debuted and became a glamorous and famous superstar… while she turned into an unwanted and detested paparazzo.

The more she couldn’t get it, the more she desired.

Whenever Renea saw the family of four sitting on the living room sofa, laughing and chatting, she would feel envious.

However, no matter how hard she tried she still couldn’t fit in them.

All Renea gets in the end is betrayal and death.

She was not foolish enough to make the same mistake again…

Susan who stood outside, looked at the closed door and was fuming with anger.

“Mom don’t be upset. It’s good thing that Renea manages to get into the Dream High Academy. When I get into in too, we can look after each other at school. If she ever needs help with anything, I will be there to assist her. It won’t let her tarnish the Morris family’s reputation.” Kailey consoled.

Susan patted Kailey’s hand with gratitude and said, “Sweetie, you are the most sensible in our family.”
