Chapter 973 Let Me Do It, I'm Stronger

"No, Madam. I'm still underage and I don't have a driver's license," Hayley said apologetically.

"Give me some time then," Waverly whispered softly.

The longer Hayley watched Waverly's behavior, the more worried she became. Thus, she asked, "Did something happen to the President?"

Waverly shook her head, "Hayley, I don't want to talk about it first. Just let me rest for a while."

Hayley remained at her seat, looking at Waverly blankly.

Waverly started breathing lightly, as one does while asleep.

Truthfully, she wasn't actually asleep. She just wanted to leave her mind blank so that she could calm down. She kept inhaling and exhaling, alternating between both actions.

"Woof!" The puppy in her arms barked, pulling her back to the present.

Waverly opened her eyes to look at it and she could see its features clearly.

Her eyes had just recovered. She knew it wasn't sensible of her to work herself up this much.
