Waverly dodged. She freed herself from Joseph's arms, took a step forward, and squinted at him. "I'll take up the offer if you choose to marry me now. But as for becoming your mistress, I'll have to think for three months. So, I'm not your woman as of yet."

Joseph looked at her oddly. He took a deep breath and said, "Three months is too long."

"How about half a year then? I'll get back to you in half a year," Waverly said mischievously and walked towards the door.

Joseph's men in black stood in her way, refusing to let her go.

Waverly whirled around to look at Joseph. "No one can force me to do things I don't want to do. You know me very well, don't you?"

"Three months it is, I'll wait for your reply," Joseph said.

Waverly nodded. "Please get your men out of my way."

"I'll take you back to the Mccarthys myself," Joseph said. "Finish your dinner first."

Waverly smiled, laced her hands behind her back, and ambled towards the dining table. "
