Your Wife To- Be Is Crippled.
Marcello's POV.
Putting on my black suit with a white striped tie knotted around my neck, I sighed countless times in worry of what would happen to me next after returning from Ava's home.
"Am I really going to do this? Am I going to get married to a lady I know nothing about?" I spoke in an undertone as I sat at the right edge of my bed in my cosy room.
It was just so difficult for me to take in , to accept such a fact. Getting married to someone I knew by the narrowest of margin was never what I planned for myself in life.
Ava has always been there and although we've gone through a lot of hurtful things, I just never imagined getting acquainted with someone else.
Gripping my phone in my hand and staring at it persistently without being distracted, I wondered what life would be without my rude girlfriend, Ava.
I kept on watching closely at her picture that was on my phone and I couldn't help but let out an involuntary grin knowing what was coming our way.
In some way, I missed her but that wasn't going to stop me from making or taking full responsibilities for my company as the man.
I wouldn't want that so-called fool who calls himself my junior brother, come into the family out of the blue and become the heir to what I have hustle and bustle for all these years.
I heaved a soft sigh as I still kept my eyes on my phone, in my hand.
Scrutinising her picture with a rictus on my face, I immediately thought about the deal she had made with me when I broke the news to her.
The deal she had exhorted me to keep if I do not want my secrets to be known to the public.
Seeing that we've been together for so long, Ava was aware of everything that happened in my life and most of which could send me to the streets.
"Ava…" I muttered in a sad tone as her deal was stuck to my head.
****** Flash back*******
"I am getting married ,Ava and it is to save the company from going down to the rack." I informed with a frown on my face as I looked vacantly at her.
"You are kidding me right now right?" She tsk as she sat down on the ground with a disquieted expression on her face concerning my sudden union with an unknown lady.
"I don't know what I would say to make you believe me, Ava but that's the truth" I asserted and was going to dash out of her room when In a trice, she stopped me with her shocking statement.
"Do not spend your whole life with her, marry her but don't love her."
I halted instantly as I got a load of what she was saying to me.
"Loving her has never been my plan, Ava" I returned with a deep-tone.
"Then assure me you would divorce her after your company gets back to its position, it's net worth"
"If you do not do this, then be ready to get yourself back into the streets of Italy". She threatened with a cunning smirk on her lips.
I didn't accept it and I still couldn't decline it but deep down, I knew I was going to be in a huge mess if I missed a step.
I heaved a heavy sigh as the thought of her came into my mind incessantly . I got steamed up that she could bring to light my secrets at any little chance she gets.
"What have I gotten myself into?" I mumbled to myself as I turned to the window that was by my side.
"I need to end this madness of Ava before it gets out of hand" I mumbled to myself in worry of what she might do the next minute.
I was still trying to look for a way to silence her when suddenly, I was cut short by Vincent from behind.
"Sir…" he called out with a serious tone.
"I knew you would come so soon…" I groaned frustratingly.
"I'm sorry if…" he was going to apologise but I just wasn't in the right mood to hear him make an apology so I had to intrude politely.
"Is it ready?" I questioned, knowing that he was in my room for just one reason at that moment and not for his feigned apologies.
"Yes sir and we need to Leave to avoid missing your flight back to the UK" he divulged with a calm voice from behind.
"Prepare our rides then" I instructed reluctantly.
"That has already been done Sir. We need to leave before it gets too late" he uttered, which bent me out of shape.
I needed more time in Italy, I needed more time to myself before leaving to become a married man overnight.
"I'll be there in a minute" I curbed in the rage I felt that kept boiling up inside of me as I tightened my grip on my phone which was in my hand.
"I would love to wait here till you follow me out of the house Sir" Vincent insisted without thinking if I was his boss or not.
"I see you wish to question my order in all you do , Vincent." I turned to him as I said, gritting my teeth in fury.
I was only trying to hold in the anger and if care wasn't taken, I could hack off and cancel the flight and he knew that.
"Please Sir, it was your…." He tried saying…
"Yeah.. my dad's orders and I bet you will always obey my dad and not me" I scoffed before walking out on him.
As I climbed down the stairs, I could feel rage flowing through my veins but seething it was all that mattered to me at that moment.
If I was to explode, Vincent could get it hot from me and I was trying my best to avoid such from happening.
I got to the car faster than expected and climbed into it. My luggage was already in the car and here Vincent was, sitting on the driver's seat, ready to take me to the airport.
"Did Ava call my business line?" I asked, out of care for Ava.
We've been dating since high school and it's been a rollercoaster but now, breaking up to get married? I bet she never saw this coming her way that was why she was eager to make the deal with me.
"No sir.. but we could stop over at her place before we get to the airport" Vincent notified as he probably felt bad for me.
"It's fine, let's just get over this before dusk" I shook my head , taking my mind off Ava. If she didn't care about me that much, then I shouldn't do the same.
Vincent stepped on the throttle of the vehicle and within a few seconds, we were already out of the building or environment.
He drove at a high speed which was what I wanted. I needed something really snappy else, I could get hacked off and stop the journey to the airport.
If I was really going to get married, then I had to do it faster so I could divorce her and come back to Ava.
Although I wasn't sure she loved me, one thing was for sure, Ava was definitely going to adore me more than the new bride my dad had gotten for me.
"We are here Sir" Vincent announced before stepping out of the car to come help me with the door.
"Close it.." I Ordered, still not satisfied knowing that I was really leaving Italy for someone I knew nothing about.
"But Sir the plane ….."
I immediately glared at him from where I was sitting and without thinking twice, he had his trap hole shut before closing the door.
I just needed some time to think and that was something the airport or the business class couldn't give me.
I sat still with my eyes fixed on the seat that was before me as I felt a tear threaten to roll out of my eye.
Making Vincent know that I could be weak because of little things wasn't what I wanted. I immediately placed my hand on my eyes and wiped off the tears that had already rolled out.
I took in a deep breath so I could stay calm and after a few minutes, I was okay. I was ready to leave Italy for my arranged marriage.
"Vincent?" I called out with a deep voice as I turned to the door.
"Sir" he responded as he turned to the door where my voice was coming from.
"Open the door or do I have to tell you everything?" I blurted out as I ridiculed seeing how he had to wait for my orders before he made a move.
He instantly opened the door and I climbed out of the car with a frown on my face.
I had unbuttoned my suit jacket earlier so the split second I stepped my foot on the ground, I held my suit jacket in my hand as I buttoned it up.
"I'll get the luggage and follow you from behind" Vincent announced like It was my business.
"Do whatever you wish" I tsk as I headed for the airport with Vincent behind me.
Soon , we got to where our plane was boarding and although it looked stressful, I was still going to get through for sure.
It was a two hours and forty-three minutes trip to London precisely, UK and trust me, it was going to be the worst journey ever because I wasn't sure about who I was getting married to.
We boarded the plane and within the stipulated hours, we got to our destination without wasting time.
I felt shagged out but as usual, I couldn't show Vincent my weak side. Although I was always harsh towards him, he was still like a brother to me and I loved him and I never wished to bother him, not even a bit.
We were exiting the airport in the UK for my ride that was probably waiting for us at the entrance of the airport.
I was just so focused and deeply immersed with the decorations inside the airport without a smile on my face while I trudged towards the door when suddenly, a lady jolted me roughly.
"Fuck!!" I uttered suddenly with my hands gripping my right shoulder in pain.
My phone which was in my hand suddenly slipped out of my hand and fell to the ground , cracking its screen.
Before I could get her, she had already gone far without looking back. She looked like she was in a mess and needed to clean things up.
I could only stand at a spot watching her run like she had lost a soul in a hospital.
"Should I go after her?" Vincent asked, seeing that I was worried.
"No… I'll try to understand her reasons and you know I don't wish to have anything to do with ladies other than Ava" I dipped my hands into my pockets as I said to him.
"Just get the phone and toss it away.. I don't need it" I darted my gaze from the run away lady before going closer to the gateway.
I needed to get to the car before my dad called and I was already running late.
"Sir Marcello!!!" I heard my name from the east side the minute I exited the airport.
Turning to the east immediately at the sound of my name, I saw Mr. Sam Jones.
He has been my dad's driver in the UK and I wasn't surprised that my dad had sent him to come pick me up from the airport.
'I bet dad has something Installed for me this time' I halved a smile as I went closer to where the car was stationed.
He opened the door as he should have and I mounted the car, waiting for him to drive me home but something else just as I imagined came up when we left the airport.
"Why aren't we going to the house?" I questioned with a perplexed stare at him while he was driving without turning back.
"Mr. Sam… I'm asking you, why aren't we heading home? Why are we taking this route when you know it's a seemingly endless journey back home?" I cross-questioned but still got no response from Mr. Sam which made me more angry.
"Sir Sam why are…." Vincent was going to ask on my behalf when within a flash, his phone rang out, interrupting his question to Mr. Sam.
"Hello" he started the minute he picked up the call, positioning it on his ear.
Within a few seconds, he ended the call and from the look of things, the way his facial expression had changed, I was sure it was my dad.
He had this planned out just as I thought he would.
"What did he say?" I posed looking at Vincent who turned to me with a shocking look on his face.
"We…"
He was going to announce but Mr. Sam abruptly took his words off his lips.
"We are heading to Mr. Leo's house to see your bride-to- be. Your dad wants you to have your first meeting with her before seeing her at the altar" he divulged without making or missing any important information.
"That's more like him.. I'll go see her if that's what he wants" I responded knowing that I have always been curious since he told me I was going to get married to someone I barely knew.
Vincent turned to look at me and I bet he was surprised seeing me say I would go comfortably.
"What?" I asked, seeing that he just wasn't going to take his gaze off me no matter what.
"You must be really excited," he smiled cheerfully, seeing how calm I was talking to Mr. Sam.
At first, I was thinking he was just glad to know I would want to see my bride but he just spoke formally to me like a normal individual to say that something was wrong.
There was more to this visit that I just didn't know about.
"Is there something you aren't telling me? Why do you look like you just saw a clown close to me?" I uttered as I requested for a response from Vincent.
"I don't know how to say this or how to put it but….." he paused for a second, chuckling , making me look like a fool.
I could only sit and watch him make me seem idiotic before Mr. Sam who had already begun to laugh at me too .
"Speak" I ordered with a deep voice.
"She's Crippled, Marc.. your to be Bride is a crippled lady who is just looking for a man to make her feel satisfied in bed" Vincent revealed pulling me off balance.
"What?? What did you just say? She is what?" I argued with my eyes bulging out as I wasn't relaxed on my seat anymore.
"That's what everyone says, I'm surprised you do not know about it, Marc…"
"I'm getting Married to a crippled bride??" I muttered as I questioned in disappointment as my heart raced.
Act As A Billionaire…Marcello's POV.I paused for a second, looking flabbergasted by what Vincent had revealed to me."She is crippled Sir, the daughter of Mr. Leo has been crippled for ages and no one knows why. She wasn't born into the earth as a cripple though" Vincent uncloaked more details , taking my breath away."What? And dad knew this?" I questioned , still in shock."Not only was I about to get acquainted with a lady I knew nothing about, but she is also crippled? How do I survive this?" I sniggered , blinking my eyes in anger as I just couldn't place my hand on what Vincent meant by my unknown bride being crippled."I'm sorry I didn't inform you earlier Sir but your dad asked that…." Vincent held back his words, seeing my reaction the minute he mentioned my dad."My dad always tells you what to do right? Did you ever see me as a friend? Or as your own boss?" I debriefed with a baffled and mentally disturbed demeanour."You all want me to get married to ….." I heaved a dee
Don't You Ever Step A Foot There!!!! Karissa's POV.With a nice fragrance in the air, coupled with the sun shining brighter than always and the flowers close to my window blooming and glittering like gold, I wished the day could get better.A rictus smile left my lips as it was the last day to be a single lady, the last day to have my way in whatever I was doing in life or wanted to do.It was the last day I could go do some stripping work and get paid by just rubbing down a man's dick. And all these were going to last until my sister got to her feet and acted like the boss of her own.So, going back to Italy as a stripper at night and a corporate worker during the day was put on hold.It was finally the third day which we've all been waiting for, the day where my sister would stay back and watch me get married to her to -be husband.I couldn't believe I was really doing this though but just like she said, it was and has always been my culpability why she got restricted from a lot o
Arranged Wedding: Is This Fate Or Coincidence.Karissa's POV."Dad?" I called out the split second I saw my dad stride angrily into my room with a spitting image of an angry bear, all furious and burning with fury in his veins."What have you done to your sister, Karissa? You wish to send bad luck to her right?" My own father cussed with his facial expression stating how enraged he was with me.He wasn't content, recognizing that I was in the same house with him and under the same roof with his daughter.I was going to deny the fact that he was my actual father but with the certitude that I had the same facial recognition as my sister, I possessed little hope that I was owned by him."She… she didn't do anything to me, Dad.. she isn't harmful" Kristina let out her voice to be heard by my dad, with a stuttering voice, knowing that she had been snivelling all night because of that fool who had declined to come see her at home.My dad turned to her with doubts written all over his face t
Who Are You?.Marcello's POV.It's been almost an hour since I got to the wedding venue and stood in my waiting room as my maids dressed me and prepared me for the show ahead."A crippled bride for someone like me!" I scoffed as I looked at my reflection in the mirror while they did their jobs."It isn't that bad, Sir. Just think of it as a blessing. Who knows, she might not be crippled just as you think" Vincent tried soothing me with his words of encouragement but nothing was going to work."Are you trying to mock me right now or what, Vincent? You went to her house, you saw her and you confirmed to me that she was crippled so where and what are you heading at now?" I questioned with my gaze fixed persistently on him this time."Don't you believe in miracles?" He smiled as he uttered, making me feel even more fooled and insulted by him."Get out… now!" I ordered without any hint of humour on my face. I was done joking with Vincent about my crippled bride. If only he knew about the p
Get Out!!.Marcello's POV."Who are you and what the hell are you doing here? I could recall seeing you in Italy as a complete lady, what is happening?" I cross examined with a glare the second I went closer to her face in unsettling ease."I am Kristina Leo and I haven't met you or seen you in my life before. We are just meeting for the first time since you refused to come visit me after returning from Italy a few days ago" She hushed in muted tones as she felt nauseated by my bearing but I was even more squicked by what was happening right before my eyes."You may kiss the bride!" The priest entreated and without hesitation, she came closer to my lips and pressed her lips on mine like she owned me."What the hell do you think you are doing?" I grumbled with a stern look at her."Just act like you are fine, don't make a silly move because the adults are watching. It's not like I would love you" she snorted as she kissed me on my lips gently. After a few seconds, she pulled her lips
You Should Have Ended The Union.Karissa's POV."Fuck!! He has always been the billionaire Kristina has been talking about and I just didn't realise it sooner…." I slapped my hand on my forehead lightly as I knew what was coming for me.Seated in my room or should I say my hotel room which was booked for him and I, I thought about what would happen next after the wedding rights had been made.I was thinking it was going to be something easy and smooth but seeing who I was married to was just so frustrating. He was the same billionaire who the Italians had tagged as the ruthless , aloof billionaire. The one who didn't give a fuck about what an employee thinks of him. The same billionaire boss who sacked anyone at his own pace just because of a little issue, the Playboy himself, and trust me girls fought to have him by their sides. He was the same billionaire I had tried making love to at the stripping house but was rudely pushed off his body for reasons best known to him."What have I
I Know Who You Are…Karissa's POV.Still sitting on the bed, I thought of how bad my new married life would be, and how pointless and useless it would make me feel.I Clasped my fingers on my dress as I felt tears about to roll off my eyes. It was a strategy to hold it back."I guess I would live my life in this marriage as a lonely lady seeking attention. The attention my sister should be fighting for" I sniffled as sneaking beliefs kept popping into my head.I was still lost in trance when out of the blue, an alarming sound was heard behind me and at that moment, I knew it was Sarah opening the door."Are you okay, ma'am?" Sarah asked the minute she stepped her foot out of the bathroom, looking all sleepy and dizzy. She must have realised how dull I was by just looking at me from behind."Your boss has left or gone back to the states, I guess. So we are the only ones here" I divulged with a melancholic mood as I had my face turned to the window and not setting it on Sarah who was st
Make Me Your Slave… Marcello.Marcello's POV.With her hands making a trail right from the top of my head down to my belly, Ava kissed me countless times on my cheek with a naughty smile on her face. She sat down at my right hand side and I could sense the strong urge she had in her just to have sex with me."Why do you keep doing this?" She whispered into my ear with her tongue giving me a tickling feeling in my ear. She noticed how reluctant I was to touch her back and I bet it vexed her."Because I'm married, Ava." I responded as I turned to look into those eyes of hers. I felt a sudden rush inside my body but it wasn't the kind I used to feel for her before, this time it was different, it came with a pinch of disgust and irritation for a second and I just didn't know why."But you will divorce her soon , Marcello.. why don't you hold me so close to your body just as you always did back then" she kissed my lips as she spoke out softly with her hands caressing my head just how I l
A SUBSTITUTE FOR MY CRIPPLED TWIN SISTER.Karissa's POV.I was feeling quite anxious as I made my way to meet Marcello. I couldn't help but think about how he was the only person who could truly accept me for who I am, without any judgement or expectations. He was someone who I knew would understand my pain and help me heal. With all the rejection and disappointment I had faced from others, I had a strong feeling that Marcello would be different. This was actually the second time in a day I was meeting Marcello, after being rejected by him previously at First. But a lot has changed since those few hours. I had ended my marriage with Ethan and was now hoping to start a new chapter in my life with Marcello."If only that was easy for me to feel or see!"As I walked towards him, my heart was racing with anticipation. All I wanted was to see him smile at me and hug me tightly, reassuring me that everything was going to be okay. However, deep down, I knew that it wasn't going to be tha
You Cheated, So I'm Leaving!.Karissa's POV.I couldn't believe what had just happened. Marcello, the man I loved with all my heart, had just spoken to me in such a cruel and heartless manner. I felt like my whole world had come crashing down around me."Why me?" I whispered to myself, feeling the weight of the pain and disappointment pressing down on my chest. "Why does he have to treat me this way when I was only trying to be the best bride for him?"The thought of all the effort and sacrifice I had put into our relationship only made me feel even more heartbroken. I had given him everything, my love, my devotion, my trust, and this was how he repaid me?"If he never wanted me, he should have said so," I continued to soliloquize as I walked back home, tears streaming down my face. "Rather than saying something so horrible to me."The weight of my emotions felt almost too much to bear, and I could feel myself crumbling under the pressure. I cried myself all the way home, barely able
Let Her Go! She Deserves To Be Miserable!.Karissa's POV.I woke up to find the sun barely up in the sky. It was the perfect time for a cozy moment with my spouse. But the person lying beside me was Ethan, not Marcello. I turned to my right and was greeted by the sight of Ethan's snoring face. I couldn't help but feel disgusted. As I sat up on the bed, I couldn't help but think that I had made a mistake by marrying Ethan. I whispered to myself, "I can't believe I went ahead with this fucking marriage!" The words barely escaped my lips before I slowly climbed out of bed, trying not to wake the sleeping monster beside me.I heaved a heavy sigh and made my way to the bathroom. I couldn't wait to get away from Ethan's annoying presence. Without hesitation, I jumped into the shower and briskly washed myself clean, hoping that the hot water would help wash away my frustration. As soon as I left the bathroom, I knew I couldn't stand being in the same room with Ethan any longer. I had better
Feed Me Those Ass!.Karissa's POV.As I walked down the aisle on my wedding day, holding my beautiful flower and my face hidden behind my veil, my heart was heavy with guilt and regret. I couldn't stop thinking about Marcello, the man I had truly loved, who was now nowhere to be found. He had left me crying in the room earlier, and I couldn't blame him for it. After all, it was my fault that we were not getting married today.I had kept the truth from him, the fact that Ethan, Marcello's enemy, had threatened Marcello's life. I had no choice but to go through with the wedding to save him. But how could I explain this to Marcello now? He would never understand, and I didn't blame him for it. It was useless to try to make him see reason now.As I walked, lost in my thoughts, Sarah, who was walking behind me, whispered to me. "You need to smile, ma, people are watching you know." I forced a smile on my face, but my heart was heavy with sadness and regret. I couldn't bear the thought of s
Do Not Marry Him.Karissa's POV.I couldn't believe that my ex-husband, Marcello, was standing right in front of me. I felt a mix of emotions - shock, happiness, confusion, and fear. It had been so long since we last spoke and I didn't know what to expect from him.As he approached me, I could see the sadness and disappointment in his eyes. It made me feel guilty for what I had put him through. But before I could say anything, he pulled me into a tight embrace. At that moment, all my worries disappeared. I felt safe and loved in his arms. It was like nothing had changed, like we were still the same happy couple we used to be.As we held each other, I couldn't help but think about how much I had missed him. Marcello was my rock, the person who made everything better, and being away from him was the hardest thing I ever had to do."I can't believe you're here," I whispered, my voice shaking with emotion."I had to see you, Karissa. I couldn't go another day without knowing if you were o
Getting Married To The Beast, Ethan. (Marcello Showed Up For Me!).Karissa's POV.I never thought this day would come. I mean, me, Karissa, the best stripper in all of Italy, settling down with a man like Ethan. It seemed like the universe was playing some sort of twisted joke on me. I had always despised ruthless and uncultured men, and here I was, about to marry one.I could barely stand it when a man touches the hem of my dress without permission, yet I was about to be joined to a man who lacked good manners. The thought of it made me feel so frustrated, depressed, and downright gloomy. As I stood at a spot, staring at the room that was being decorated by the staff, I couldn't help but feel uneasy about the decision I have made. The room was supposed to be for our wedding, but it felt so foreign to me. It was like I was in a different world, one that I never thought I would enter.I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down, but it didn't help. The thought of spending the re
Marry Ethan Or Marcello Won't Know What Hit Him.(TAKING OVER THE COMPANY MEANS TAKING OVER YOU, KARISSA!")Karissa's POV.I never thought that I would find myself in a situation where I would be willingly entering the lion's den with someone I hardly knew, let alone trusted. The fool who had no manners. But there I was, following a stranger who seemed to exude an air of ruthlessness and coldness that made my heart race with unease. As he barked orders at a staff member, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of company I had gotten myself involved with.Walking behind him with my colleague Sarah, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss. The upcoming meeting with the directors and executives only added to my sense of foreboding. "Why do I have a feeling that this Meeting with the directors and executives today would end in tears, pain and regrets?" I whispered to Sarah, who was standing beside me, hoping she would share my concerns. But Sarah tried to reassure me, "
My Brother in-law?Karissa's POV.I put my hand on Sarah's shoulder, feeling the tension in her body. "He's no longer here Sarah, now speak to me, what is wrong with you?" I asked, my voice soft and gentle. "Why did you barge into the room that way without knocking?" I inquired with a calm voice, staring into her eyes. The Sarah I knew was always tough and bright, but now she looked scared, like something bad must have happened or about to happen. I couldn't help but worry about what could have made her act like this.As I looked around the room for a split second, my mind raced with all kinds of terrible possibilities."Is Marcello dead and she has refused to open up to me? Is something bad happening to the company?" I thought inwardly, my Expression looked gloomy.I focused my attention back on Sarah, meeting her eyes with an innocent and spotless stare. "What is wrong?" I asked one more time, calmly yet curious.Sarah's voice was barely above a whisper as she finally spoke. "The c
Intrusive Entrance .Karissa's POV.The room was filled with tension as Elvis and I stood facing each other. His eyes were wide with anger as he bellowed, "You fucking slapped me? For what?" I could tell he was absolutely livid after I had smacked him so hard across his face."You caused it, Elvis. Don't act like you are innocent when you are not," I responded, my own voice rising as I spoke. I couldn't believe he was trying to play the victim after everything he had done. "Why would you act like Marcello in the first place? Why would you want to take your best friend's wife away from him?" My fists tightened at my sides as I continued to confront him. "Are you not a fool???" I added spitefully.Elvis was clearly incensed at what I had just called him. He raised his hand to hit me in retaliation for my words, but then, Sarah suddenly burst into the room, causing both of us to freeze in our tracks."The…" she paused, taking in the scene before her. Elvis's hand was still suspended in
