Chapter 25 Sell It

Ever since that night, their relationship had improved a bit. They could exchange greetings whenever they met eye to eye. It wasn't awkward like before.

Evelyn didn't mind it. In fact, she was a little pleased about it. She no longer felt uneasy and tense whenever she went home.

Although Lucas wasn't at home all day, it was good to know that they weren't on bad terms.

During the weekday, when she was all alone, she realised she couldn't be lazing around. Having one job to cover up Peter's bills won't be enough to take care of home.

After all, her husband wasn't well-to-do. He would need her money coming into the home too for future purposes.

Since he already provided the house, the least she could do was pay for groceries and whatever thing that might arise.

She soon started to fancy the thought of picking up a part time job. She could pull it off. Her job closed by 5pm. and she could rest an hour before going for another job.
