Melissa paced the living room, her hands clenched into fists. The constant chatter about Kaitlyn and Estefan’s engagement was driving her insane. Every news article, every social media post, was a reminder of her own failures. She had lost everything: her best friend, her reputation, and now, even her sense of self.
