Jessica's heart stopped beating briefly on hearing Cade's question. She was so sure she'd never heard him talk this angrily but thinking about his situation at the moment, she agreed this was the least he could do.

"Cade, I'm sorry. It was all my fault. If I had just listened to you and kept my promise, all this wouldn't have happened." Jessica accepted her fault but it seemed like Cade wasn't interested in that.

"So? Does that change anything now? Everyone is talking about how I will be a much better Playboy than my brother. What will we do about that? Like I said, just pretend like we never met. If we meet in class on Monday, I will only be as normal as everyone else so don't expect more from me." Cade cautioned and before Jessica could say another word, he ended the call.
