The Breakthrough

Jessica trembled all over as she feared his wrath. Her fears were valid because her action outraged Landon, forcing him to give her another round of beating.

"You know what? I'm only letting you live for so long because he needs you for something important. After that, I will kill you myself. I will butcher you up, send your head to your parents and your body to your beloved husband. I'm sure they would be thrilled by the sight." Landon threatened harshly, worsening Jessica's trembling.
