Cruz's phone slipped out of his hand as he stared at Jessica in shock.

"On a serious note, Cruz, what's going on with you?

"You've been looking lost for a while." Jessica stated her observations as she walked past Cruz to the small table in her room where she dropped the food.

"Was that an important call I shouldn't have interrupted?" She asked curiously.

Relieved that Jessica didn't overhear his conversation, he immediately thought of a lie to tell.

"Uhmm…Of course not. Something urgent came up at the hospital and I have to leave now." He replied as he hurriedly picked up his phone from the ground.

"But you said you were…" Jessica's voice trailed off as she watched Cruz dash out of the room.

"... hungry." She whispered.

"He looks so worked up, I hope it's nothing too serious." She thought to herself as she sat beside her food and began devouring it.

"Leah and Tyler should be landing soon." She sighed at her loneliness.
