85. Increasing affection

In the car, Sara was sitting in Kevin's arms, resting her head on his shoulder. They didn't talk on the way home. When the car stopped, Kevin glanced at Assistant Rob and signalled him with his eyes to leave. As soon as Rob was gone, Kevin looked at Sara's pale face and noticed her grip on his arm. It warmed his heart. She clung to him like a baby monkey to its mother.

"Sara..." Kevin's deep voice broke the silence, and Sara Owen closed her eyes tightly, holding on to him tighter. Kevin wrapped his arms around her and held her in a tight embrace. Her face was near his chest, and he could feel her tears.

"I left you alone for a few hours, and you're already crying again. Hm?" Kevin said softly.

Sara opened her eyes, "I don't understand, Kevin. Just ten minutes before the meeting, I copied my file from the laptop to the pendrive. But when I got to the meeting room, something else was there. I tried to explain it to Miss Gandhi, but she thought I was making excuses
