300. The clothing emergency

Jemma cautiously stepped into his cabin, finding Noah deep in his work, surrounded by files instead of the usual meetings and phone calls. He didn't look up but spoke in his low, calm voice, "It's good you came. I was just about to send you a message."

Still surprised by his sixth sense, Jemma watched as he raised his head and greeted her with a warm smile, "I'm heading abroad for a few days."

Jemma's senses went numb, "Abroad..."

"I've been avoiding business trips for a while, but it's unavoidable now. It might take more than a week, not entirely sure."

She placed the file on the table, a bit anxious, "When...when are you leaving?"

"Tonight."

Jemma's surprise turned into a chill, "Tonight? So soon."

Noah nodded, "Didn't expect it, but I have to go."

She asked, "Do you want me to pack your bag?"

"No, that's fine." He approached her, holding her shoulders, "You go home. The driver will drop you. I'll head straight from here. No time to swing by home."

"What about dinner?"
