In the master bedroom, the once carefully arranged elegant furnishings lay scattered and broken, reflecting the inner turmoil of Kevin. The room, once a haven of beauty and serenity, now bore the brunt of his anger and destruction. Sara watched him, unable to intervene as he vented his frustration.

 

When he eventually stumbled into a corner of the room, crying and clutching his head, Sara mustered the courage to approach him. She knelt down beside him, placing her palm on his shoulder.

"Kevin," her voice trembled as she called his name.

Kevin buried his face in her chest, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"This has gone terribly wrong, Sara. It shouldn't have happened. I should have realized that you could never forget Ricky," he lamented.
