135. I've never been happier

"Why don't you go and sleep in your bedroom?" Sara said gently.

Silence lingered; he buried his face against her stomach. Her fingers brushed through his silky hair.

"Sara," his voice, a whisper.

“Hm…”

"You seem upset today. You didn't tell me what happened at the hospital," Yohan noticed, his instincts sharp.

Sara hadn't expected Yohan to pick up on her mood, let alone pinpoint the cause. She inadvertently stopped caressing his head, staring off into the distance. Yohan lifted his head, peering at her pale face.

"You know, it'd take just one phone call for me to find out the truth," he added, his voice deep and knowing. Sara met his gaze, sighed deeply, suppressing her sadness.

"Maybe you should sleep, and I should head back to the Sa House," Sara suggested, trying to distance herself.

Yohan furrowed his brow, standing up from the couch to light a cigarette. Sara watched his back intently.
