118. Whispering her name

Kevin placed his hand over hers, his touch comforting. He looked down.

"I understand how much you want to see him," he continued.

Sara's lips quivered, and a tear welled up, escaping from the corner of her eye.

Kevin looked at her. "I've already spoken to the doctor. We're going to see him tomorrow."

Her eyes filled with more tears, and Kevin gently brushed them away. He pulled her into an embrace, his arms providing comfort.

"Kevin..."

"Hmm?"

He kept rubbing her back soothingly.

"Do you think it was really Leslie who did this to him?"

"Lots of evidence points to Leslie. Surveillance footage shows her leaving his cabin putting her gun back in her purse. After that, she disappeared. Peter Winkle and Neel Dixon are also nowhere to be found," Kevin explained.

"Is Neel involved in this?" Sara's eyes widened.

Kevin nodded somberly. "He's actually Peter Winkle's biological son."
