Chapter 0006

Theo caught Nina by her elbow and pulled her inside his cabin. He roughly pushed her onto the couch inside his cabin with barely restrained anger.

"What are you up to now? What new tricks are you playing at? What are you trying to prove by coming to my company with all those bandages? None of them might know that these tricks of yours are not new to me and you are a liar. But I know you and your intentions. Are you trying to look pity in front of me?" he snapped at Nina coldly.

Nina is already used to him looking at everything she did as a ploy to win his favour. She is not shocked. But still she felt a pang of pain in her heart. She suppressed her emotions and looked at him coldly. The image of Theo escorting Chelsea in the hospital reminded her why she decided to divorce him in the first place.

"Well Mr. Morrison, you might not care whether I live or die. But don't worry, I didn't come here to cause you any trouble. In fact I never remember causing you any trouble either. It's you who always storms to the Morrison villa and yells at me at the top of your lungs about things which I didn't do and don't know about. You never believed me when I tried to explain that I am innocent. And I am tired of living my life like that. Today I came to Your company to hand over the divorce papers to you personally. If you are free, we can go to the civil office bureau to file for our divorce. I am done with you. Let's end this marriage once and for all" she spoke calmly, but firmly.

Theo is stunned to hear this. What stunned him even more is the look in her eyes. It's empty and detached, which is so unlike her. He has always seen affection in her eyes when she used to look at him. And she never spoke to him like this in the one year they have been together.

Even Neel, Theo's assistant was dumb stuck. He never saw this side of Mrs. Morrison. Usually Ms. Chelsea comes crying to Mr. Morrison and complaint against Mrs. Morrison said that Mrs. Morrison slapped her in front of everyone in the mall, or hired someone to kidnap Ms. Chelsea or something similar. Mr. Morrison usually believes Ms. Chelsea and scolded his wife. But no matter what Ms. Chelsea says about Mrs. Morrison, Neel never saw Mrs. Morrison acting brashly. He used to think that Mrs. Morrison is good at pretending to be nice. Because Ms. Chelsea made everyone turn against Nina. Now, Neel is stunned to see this side of Nina.

Theo snorted sarcastically once he recovered from initial shock.

"If this is your new trick to fool me, you almost got me this time. Now if you are done, get lost and never come back" he sneered.

Nina gave him a cold stare.

"Theodore Morrison, you might be a good son and an excellent businessman. But you are an idiot who blindly believes everyone. You are as stupid as you are smart. If you think that this is a trick, then think again. When did I ever come to Your company to any kind of tricks? I am busy tomorrow. Let me know when you are ready to file our divorce. The sooner, the better " she insulted him coldly.

Theo is extremely angry at the way she insulted him.

"You..." he opened his mouth to scold her, but she ignored him and walked past him with her head held high. As he dragged her roughly just now, her wounds near her elbow and her calf started bleeding. Her blood soaked the white gauze that was wrapped around her injuries. The scent of blood became thick in his office.

That's when Theo noticed her bloody gauze.

"You are bleeding" he stopped her by holding her wrist gently.

Nina glared at him angrily and snatched her hand back.

"Don't touch me" she snapped before she turned and left.

Theo is stunned.

"Neel, do you know when she got injured?" Theo inquired.

Neel hesitated for a moment. He knows when Mrs. Morrison got injured. But he is surprised that his boss forgot about it.

"What?" Theo snapped when Neel immediately replied.

Neel immediately reminded his boss.

"Boss, we received a call from the hospital that Mrs. Morrison got into an accident a week ago. They also said that her condition is critical. I informed you. But you were busy with work and brushed it off as her another trick to grab your attention. Looks like Mrs. Morrison really got into an accident" he said, feeling bad for Nina.

Theo remembered getting a call. But he is used to her tactics. Previously he rushed home a couple of times when he received texts from her saying that she is committing suicide. But he found her happily chatting with their house keeper. So this time he thought she is playing tricks again and ignored the call.

In the debths of his heart, he felt guilty.

'No wonder she is angry ' he thought.

As soon as Nina left the Morrison group, Chelsea came. She saw the retreating back of Nina with stunned silence.

'What is she doing here? She is not supposed to come here. Theo hates her too much. She never dared to come here in the past. Then what changed now?' she thought as Jealousy and insecurity started to make her feel uncomfortable.

She quickly walked inside the Company, while the employees greeted her politely. Everyone recognise her in the Morrison group, while no one recognised Nina.

Chelsea directly went to the top floor to meet Theo.
