“Hello, Liam," Emily greeted, her voice dripping with a mixture of amusement and malice. "I'm glad you could join us cousin." Her eyes glinted with an unsettling intensity. Her every movement exuded an air of calculated confidence.

Seeing Liam arriving at the mansion made her feel like she was closer to her goal than ever before. Now all she had to do was get Liam to sign the documents and the Danvers empire would belong to her. To her that was the best revenge she could get against the Danvers family for everything they put her through.

Liam, his gaze following her as she descended down the stairs and walked over to him asked. “What is the meaning of this?” He asked coldly.

Ignoring Liam's question, Emily continued, "I trust you've had a pleasant journey here. It's always a pleasure to host family reunions, wouldn't you agree?" Her tone was mocking. According to her she was in control here and could do whatever she wanted, and as a result she was acting arrogant.
