Breathless and stunned, Gary looked at Liam with a mixture of disbelief and a slight fear in his eyes. And he was right to be scared, because judging by the attack that Liam had delivered and that he didn't look tired it was evident that Liam was evolving too fast for him to handle. He never expected that Liam would adapt this quickly.

Gary acknowledged that the tables had turned, and the tide of the fight had shifted. Liam stood resolute, his eyes fixated on Gary, ready for another round.

And he didn't know how on earth he had gotten so much strength and agility, but he was glad that he had, because he didn't even want to imagine what would have happened to him, if he didn't have any of those abilities. This fight would have been over a long time ago, with Gary being the winner, probably.
