"We are going to ask you some questions, and we need you to cooperate fully." Detective Collins said. His words hung in the air, and Liam's heart rate quickened slightly, sensing the detectives' suspicion. Nevertheless he maintained his composure, understanding that their thorough investigation would naturally lead them to question him.

"I'll cooperate fully," Liam replied calmly. "Tommy was a friend, and his death was a shock to all of us. I'll do anything I can to assist you in finding the truth behind what happened."

Detective Thompson nodded, her gaze still steady on Liam. "We appreciate your willingness to help, Mr. Danvers. Could you please tell us about your association with Tommy? How did you two meet?" She asked professionally.

Liam sat back in his seat and explained how he had recently met Tommy in his office. He also shared how they had quickly formed an alliance, driven by a common goal, but he didn't disclose what that common goal was yet.
