Hearing the things the prosecuting counsel said about me made me feel very uncomfortable, even though I wasn't hearing them for the first time.

I could feel Reign's anger as his muscles tensed and his gaze remained on the prosecutor even after the latter had taken his seat.

The judge asked Olsen to proceed and he got up and said, "My client, Miss Cora Gilbert has been insulted, questioned, and even called an immoral woman. Are all of these allegations true? Let us find out.

At this point, Lucas came in from outside and began making his way to the witness box. I could not help but wonder what he was going to say.

Although there was a plan to expose him if he tried to lie, I genuinely hoped he would tell the truth. However, I knew he would face backlash afterward. He could even be sued by the marriage court if they decided to make an example of him.
