MY TRUE FEELINGS

I arrived at Lucas' home and met him waiting for me in the living room.

"Why the hell did you not tell me you were back?" I asked.

"What happened to you, Cora? Have you looked at your dress?" He asked pointing at the stains on my dress.

"Forget about that," I replied. "It's good that you are back. Let's get divorced quickly, now as a matter of fact."

"No, I can't do that," he replied.

I scoffed, "Stop being so petty because I hit you in the past, Lucas. Why can't you go with me now? It's not like you're busy. Besides, how can you spend the rest of your life with Avery if you do not divorce me?"

He took a step closer to me, making me uncomfortable. I was about to take a step back when he cupped my face and said, "Cora, I was wrong all this time. I was very wrong.

If I had met you first before your sister, things would have turned out differently. You would have been the only one in my eyes and we would have gotten married while being so crazy in love with each other.
