I was tired. I hadn't gotten enough sleep and Tiffany wasn't a child, so I wasn't going to spend my time searching for her. I took a cab and went back to the hotel. As I slumped onto the couch in the living room,

I heard a voice from the bedroom and got up.

"Tiff?"

I walked toward the room, stood by the door, and heard Tiffany's voice. She was crying. I suddenly felt bad about the things I had said to her and walked into the room.

When she saw me, she covered her face.

I walked up to her, sat on the bed beside her, and pulled her into my arms.

I stroked her back, saying, "It's okay. It's okay."

"No, it's not okay," she replied. "I am so ashamed, I can't believe I tried to cross the line with you. How could I have done something so....."

"That wasn't you, okay? The doctor said those guys drugged you. You were most likely not in your right senses and that's why I took you to the hospital.
