Kingston POV

Chapter Eight.

I knew her secret now. I knew the reason she was trying to avoid me. I knew why she didn't want to get close to me. I also knew why she was depriving us of the pleasure of being together. It was all because of the boy who looked so much like me. The boy I had to go back home to check my pictures to confirm that it was the same face I had as a baby. The boy I had decided was my son.

My son.

She did well trying to hide him from me but there was no way a Sanchez was going to live poor. We are wealthy. We are famous and a son of mine won't live in the apartment she was currently living.

Immediately, I discovered the boy was my son, I ran to the apartment but she had packed up. She had left with all of her luggage. I called Miss Andrea and she informed me that she had quit. She was running away from me. I knew that now.

I moved back to my car angrily pressing the horn that some of the neighbours shouted that I should keep it down which of course I ignored. I don't have the luxury of listening to some strangers when my heir was nowhere to be found.

I don't care where she was hiding this time around, I was going to find her. Thankfully, I know her name now. I have her number. I was going to find her and my son. I won't make the same mistake as two years ago.

I dialled her number but it was not going through. Then, I called one of my guys to help me locate her immediately. She pushed me. I was going crazy because I know the longer I take trying to locate her, the further she was slipping from me. But, I don't want her to slip this time around.

It didn't take long for the guy to send me an address. Funny how the place wasn't far from her place. Maybe, she wasn't running away. I took a deep breath, twice before I started driving off.

The neighbour was as bad as hers but still better in a way. There was a security gate, unlike her open space. I was standing in front of the door about to knock on the door when I turned back to see Luisa staring back at me. She was smiling but after recognising me, the smile wiped from her mouth. She was frowning now.

My legs started moving on their own accord until I was standing in front of her. She opened and close her mouth obviously clueless about what to ask. Since I don't have all the time to spend staring at her as I was too eager to finally meet my son.

At first, I did not want to believe I have a son but he looked exactly the way I was. Then there was his age. The last time I saw her plus additional 9 months. Although, I would still have a DNA test to fully confirm that he was my son but for now I just want to hold him in my hands.

I was about to ask where she was keeping my son but she beat me to it, "What are you doing here?"

I knew I was the last person she was expecting to see, especially since I was the reason she was running away.

Funny life.

"Why are you not in your house? Why is it empty?"

She opened and closed her mouth again like the previous time I asked her.

"Where is my son?"

Her eyes got wide. She started at the door, then back at me like I have no idea what I was talking about. "What... What do you mean by your son?" She stammered.

I smiled. If it's a game she wanted to play. I am all for her.

"Exactly, what I mean by my son. Where are you hiding him?"

I moved closer to her, while she moved backwards, trying to block my path back to the doorway.

"Why would I be hiding your son? I don't even know you have a son."

The chuckle that came out of my mouth was a surprise even to me. She was a good liar but the more she was trying to cover this up. The more certain I am that the boy was my son.

"Really, Luisa, You have no idea I have a son."

She nodded.

"Are you trying to play games with me?"

She seemed to have had it because she shouted. "What is your problem? I have no idea what you are trying to ask me. And if you have a son why are you finding him here."

The chuckle was a full blown laughter now. She really thought I was going to fall for the cheap tactics that people are used to. She didn't even try to be original.

"Well, you will know my son after I collect your son from you."

That seems to do the trick because her eyes got wider if that was possible. I was angry at her but she still look ever beautiful and I hated the fact that her eyes were laced with threatened tears.

"See, Luisa, it's not this difficult. I already know your son is. my son. You don't have to hide him from me. Why didn't you tell me about the pregnancy or after you gave birth? I would have been there. "

Her tears were now dripping, "I am sorry, Kings but please don't take Chris away from me. It was not my intention to hide him but I had no idea who you were or where you ljvied. ..

" Really! You don't have to cry. I just want to see my boy."

"You are not here to take him."

Take him? What have her the impression?

"I just want to see him."

She pressed her hands to wipe off the tears. Taking in deep breath. "Are you ready"

I nodded.

That was my worst fear of him until he mentioned his son. At first, I thought it was a trick, the fear of him trying to get me in a relationship was gone in a second. In fact, I would have preferred that to the question he just asked. I was ready to deny it but he seemed so certain that his son was with me. So, I had no choice but to beg him. Thankfully, he just wanted to see the boy and not take him.The moment we stepped in, everywhere was dark. I could easily tell that my mother and Chris were asleep. "I think you should turn the switch on." Kings whispered to me. He already put on the flashlight on his phone. To avoid any argument, I obeyed him and everywhere was bright again. Kingston's POVDo not trust her. Do not trust her. For some reason why conscience kept ringing that word in my ear. I was barely able to get a good night's rest. All I could do was stare at Chris's picture on my phone. And I wondered how I hadn't known on the first day that he was my son. I mean starting at his picture, looks like I am starting at my younger self in a mirror. I guess my gene is so strong that he took nothing from Luisa. Yet, I would still have to meet him to know how completely he took after me. If there was some sort of connection in our character or something like that. I was so eager to see them that I started getting ready from 4:00 am. I called my assistant to cancel every appointment I have for the day. It was a special day. I was meeting my flesh and blood for the first time. I haven't known him that much but I already know I love him so much. I would do anything for the little boy. Luisa's POV"Are we going somewhere?" King's angry voice made me stop. I hugged Chris closer to me as if someone was going to snatch him from me anytime soon. I was perplexed. This was supposed to be the perfect plan. I was supposed to escape with Chris without getting caught. That was why I had left home as early as this. I had packed my box immediately after King's left the previous night. I could barely sleep and I kept checking to see if Chris was still sleeping on his bed or if something had happened to him. My mother and Jenny had no idea what I was planning to do. I had left a short note for them telling my mother not to be angry. I understand that she was trying to put me on the right step and she was trying to make me do what was right but she had to understand. She was also a mother, so she had to understand that whatever I was doing was because of my son. I promised her to be back when Chris could make decisions on his own. I promise to be back when I knew that there was n

Kingston's POVAll women are the same. They are not to be trusted with anything, either money, property or especially your trust. They would surely break it. It was very unfortunate that I trusted her enough to leave my son with her. I could have brought him with me last night, but immediately I discovered, he was my son. But, I didn't want to start this parenting stuff with malice or any regret. I wanted her to trust but most importantly I wanted to trust her. Maybe. Just maybe she was different from the other ladies I have been meeting but I was not surprised to find out that they are all the same. She decided to deserve me and I was glad I found out before it was too late. There was no way, I was leaving my son with her anymore. "You don't even know him," She shouted. I smiled. She was now back to thinking that I would doubt Chris is mine. "If that's what you believe. I can call a doctor now to carry out a DNA test. Chris will be with me until the result is out."She huffed, m

Kingston's POVI raised a brow at her. After all that I have said, she believed I was joking. That itself was funny to me but I wasn't going to laugh or smile at something that would give her the impression that I was joking. "I think we can come up with something." I was already moving to the bed to sit down. She stood still with her hands folded, "And I think the only thing I want is to carry my son and leave here.""Are you not forgetting something important?" "I don't care about anything but my son at this moment.""He is also my son. And he is the heir to a multi-billionaire empire. You don't believe I would allow him to continue living the way he was. Luisa’s POV“It is a very bad idea, Luisa. How can you think of this?” My mother's voice was so loud that anyone would have thought I was doing something much more dangerous than leaving home but what was I supposed to do? He had no plan on giving me Chris and there was no way I was leaving Chris alone. I wasn’t allowed to bring Chris with me to bid my mother goodbye. And, I sincerely have no idea how I was supposed to live in a world without Chris.“Mum, this is the best I can do. It’s either I agree to this or say goodbye to seeing Chris and you know I can’t do that.”“But how can you be living alone with a man you are not married to.” She complained. Yes, my mother was one of those who believed that a male and female were not supposed to live together until they have successfully tied the knot. When she found out about my pregnancy, she was very surprised. She had expected me to be a virgin at Eighteen and I had disappointed her in every way. And now, I was planning to mo

So, when she left to explain to her mother and left Chris – assurance that she was coming back, I felt so relieved.Chris was sleeping peacefully and I was beginning to be bothered that he slept for so long. Just as I was about to go down to finally get something to eat, I heard him crying. I ran back to carry him and he agreed immediately. His gaze moved right and left probably in search of his mother. I smiled at that, she was right when she said I had no idea about his daily routine. I also have no idea about a baby but I would be so damn if I didn’t give this boy all he desires and need. He was just two years old and they already put that much responsibility on him. Also, the house feels like one mighty prison. It might be because I was always indoors or because I haven’t stepped out in the past three days. Three days felt like an eternity. The best I could do to save some of my sanity was to avoid Kingston. Kingston’s P.O.V.“Derek’s dead.”Luisa dropped on the bed. I guessed regardless of how she thought she hated him, his death was still shocking to her. I was pretty shocked myself. I wanted to be the one who ended his life slowly, but I never thought he could be so cowardly. He chose his death to be tortured, but then he had been so sure of himself, so I wondered why he suddenly changed his mind and died. She looked around, avoiding my gaze and biting her lower lips.“I told the guys to bury him silently. He doesn’t have any family.”She sighed, “Do you also think it’s our fault? If we had handed him over to the police, he might not have killed himself, right?”Holding her shoulder, I shook my head, “It’s not our fault, Luisa. All we did was protect our family. Anyone will do anything for family’s sake. And we didn’t kill him. He chose death.”She paused to assimilate that and nodded, “I went to him yesterday, alone.”My hold on her tightened, “What?”“After we left Derek, I went to s

Luisa’s POV I trailed back the path I just left with Kingston. I wasn’t supposed to be back here, but I had been doing daring things and was ready to take it up a notch. I wasn’t trying to be brave or pretending to be, but I wanted to make something clear to him, and I know I’m the only one who can pass the message loud and clear. I was expecting some kind of security to guard the building in case of an attempted escape – and I have my perfect excuse at the tip of my tongue.Alas! There was no one.The door was closed firmly, and the key was attached to it. It made no sense, but barely anything makes sense these days. When I came with Kingston, there was no one at the door, but I had expected that was because Kingston was there. I thought once he left, someone would be guiding him, like Jimmy, ensuring there was no way to escape.Well, I guessed attaching a key to the lock made it safe. I unlocked the door and stepped in slowly. My senses were on alert. Maybe someone was guiding hi

  • Billionaire Secret Baby   Plans

Luisa’s POVI wasn’t wicked. I wasn’t the type that sees others in pain and gets happy, but I was when I saw Derek there. I thought it would be a painful experience, but it was just the closure I needed – knowing he wasn’t anywhere that could be dangerous to my family. Knowing he couldn’t escape gave me some peace of mind. After walking a few distances from him, Kingston stopped us, “Are you okay?”I frowned. I know he was trying to protect me, but I wasn’t some kind of weak female. I wanted him to know that. “I’m fine.”He didn’t smile, “I just want to make sure you are really fine. It’s your first time seeing such a sight.”That’s true. I might have felt pity for someone else, but I didn’t feel pity towards him. We continued walking, and an idea boomed in my head, “How about we celebrate?”“Celebrate.”I nod, “Remember that we couldn’t go on our honeymoon because of the situation. How about we start our celebration now?”He raised a brow in astonishment. He had rubbed on me. No

Kingston’s POV.My hand hurt, and I wrapped a cloth around it bruises on it. I wasn’t ready to stop what I was doing. I grabbed Derek’s collar and moved him closer to me, but he was all limp. His lips were bruised and covered in blood. I was certain, I must have knocked off one or two of his teeth, but he forced a smile towards me, showing his bloody teeth. It was getting boring to me.I loved it when he struggled, and could still talk about how Luisa was his. How all I was doing wouldn’t make him leave her alone? How she was going to realize I wasn’t good enough for her?It was fun when he had the fight in him, but now, it was boring. He could barely talk, even if he wanted to.I threw him back, flexing my hand, and turned towards Jimmy who stood at the edge of the door. “No food for him today?”Jimmy nodded, and I headed to the bathroom washing off his filthy blood. I bathed thoroughly and changed my clothes before heading to my family. There was no way to hide my bruises so

  • Billionaire Secret Baby   Missed You, Husband.

Luisa POVI didn’t take my eyes off Derek from the rearview. I could hardly believe he was her in the car with handcuffs. My gaze momentarily went to Rena and I paled – it was my fault. The bruise on her lips was all because of me. It should be my lips, not hers.“I am sorry, Rena.”She turned towards me and winced a bit touching the bruise, “It's okay. It’s what I signed up for.”I chuckled, “You didn’t sign up for a bruise on your face, that’s all on me.”She shrugged, “Regardless, I am just glad to be of help. Honestly.”Fabian snorted. I glared at him, but that didn’t keep him shut.“I can’t believe you lied to me, Jenny. You were the one I was looking for and you sent me up.”If it wasn’t for the bruise on Rena’s lips, I might have felt guilty for lying to him, but I felt nothing. “That’s because you weren’t willing to know the truth. You only heard the story from one person's perspective and you jumped to a conclusion. I can’t put my trust in someone who blindly trusts

Kingston’s POVThis place was a hotel in disguise. It was hard to believe that there was a hotel without security, but the first point of contact was the receptionist. While we were trying to follow Rena’s dot, she stopped us with a smile.“Welcome to Numb Hotel. How can we be of service to you?”I frowned, and turned towards her, improvising, “We need a room.”She mentioned the price, and I could hardly believe how cheap this hotel was. It might have been the reason they lacked security and safety. She pressed a bell on the table, and we waited – each second painfully long until another woman came out from somewhere. She was fat and her stomach seemed to be obstructing her from moving normally.“Follow me.” She said. She started moving us in the opposite direction of the blue dot. I stopped and she copied me, “Any problem?”I pointed towards the direction, “I want a room on that side.”She sighed as if she had been afraid we were planning on canceling. I guess they do need mon

  • Billionaire Secret Baby   Foreign Place

Luisa’s POVTracking someone wasn’t as easy as it was portrayed in movies. It was way more stressful, and it didn’t help that they were on foot while we were following them in a car. They kept boarding different public buses. After some time I took a nap. It took a while for me to wake up and see that we were following a new bus. Kingston turned and smiled at me, “You are awake. I think we are almost there. This is the mall where I met that idiot.”I looked out of the window. Of course, I knew the idiot he was talking about, but I didn’t say a word. The town Derek seemed to be hiding in wasn’t what I expected. It looked like a small town with fewer people. The mall Kingston had pointed out didn’t have a lot of people shopping there. It might have been the reason they were able to corner him without anyone to help him.“Where are they now?”“In the bus, ma,” Jimmy responded. I nodded thinking of what Rena would feel like at the moment. Her last words ring in my head, but I can

Kingston’s POV“I think we should be getting ready now.”The moment I heard Luisa say that I placed my hand on the steering, but I didn’t move. I could see the eagerness in Luisa, but nothing was happening. It was just Rena looking around as if she was searching for someone; probably she was looking for that Fabian guy. No one had seen him this morning. They know to report to me once he was sight, but I haven’t received any message from anyone, it only meant one thing, no one has seen him. Rena stopped and placed her phone in her ears.“I think she is calling Fabian,” Luisa said. I smirked at her, everyone could see that but she was so eager to point everything out. If it was up to me, she wouldn’t be following us in this operation, but she had planned and worked on everything. I wouldn’t want to be the one to deprive her of the joy of achieving something. Plus, it would be good for her to see that Derek wasn’t invisible. I wanted nothing more than for her to be at ease with

  • Billionaire Secret Baby   Getting Ready

Luisa’s POVI didn’t sleep all through the night. Kingston didn’t sleep either. He kept trying to keep me calm, but I had a lot of things going through my head. I had handed Chris over to Jenny. Kingston had instructed the security in the house to increase immediately after we were out of the mansion. He didn’t believe Fabian would keep it a secret from Derek. According to him, Fabian was the loyal type, and it would be difficult for someone loyal to keep a secret from his boss. That didn’t help my anxiety, it only added to it.All I did was pace around trying to figure out what hadn’t happened. I had never felt so paranoid in my life.“Calm down, dear. Nothing bad is going to happen.” Kingston said. He was sitting on the bed, his gaze continued to follow me as I moved.“I know, but what if he hurts Rena before we get there.”He sighed, “We are going to get him before he gets close to Rena.”I nodded because I trusted Kingston. I believe if he says it was going to happen, then
