Chapter 33 – Happiness

Blake Coster

“Where were you?” Jean hissed at me and I hugged her straight away.

“Is everything okay?” She asked as she patted my back.

“I talked to him.” I said.

“That’s my baby.” She said and that made me smile.

“What took you so long?”

“I talked a lot with your mom, she’s so lovely and sweet.” I released the hug and kissed her cheek.

“Did you buy me something?” I asked.

“Yeah.” She slipped her hand to mine and pulled me towards my dad’s room. She asked me to wait outside as she walked into my dad’s room to get my drink.

“Your dad is sleeping.” Jean said as she got out and I nodded. She bought me an ice americano and she got herself a hot latte. We both sat on the chairs in front of my dad’s room.

“I’m back.” I stated and she looked at me confuse.

“Blake Samuel.” That made her smile widely, she sipped her drink and I found something odd.

I took her cup and looked at the writing that was written on it. I looked at Jean and looked at her suspicious.

“Who’s Jeffrey?” I asked in a cold tone.

“It was the cashier, he-“

“Did he ask you for your phone number?” I asked.

“Yeah but I didn’t give him. He wrote it and asked me to call him instead.” She pointed at the cup. I drank her latte and threw the cup straight to the trash bin.

“Blake!”

“What?”

“You drank all of my drink!” She hissed as she took my americano.

“Take it..”

“You’re so annoying! I want more latte.” She stood up but I held her.

“I love you.” That made her turn to me, she looked at me disbelief.

“What? I think my ear went deaf for a second.” I laughed at her statement. Gosh, I love my life being this fun with her.

“I love you Jean Verodine.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“You said because you’re jealous or-“

“I’m jealous but it’s my true feelings not because I was jealous.” I said and pulled her to sit on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her waist.

“I love you too, idiot.”

“Idiot?” I looked up to her and she rolled her eyes.

“Why jealous when you know that I’m yours?”

“Baby, you’re mine but still you’re a one hot girl. Men will ogling at you.”

“Then you better be ready.” She smirked and I chuckled. She hugged me by wrapping her arms around my neck. I can’t help but kissed the side of her head.

I never thought that I will fall in love, it was a forbidden thing for me since I don’t believe in one because on my parents. I felt it when I met this silly and feisty girl. I love her and life has been so fun with her in it. I don’t want anything else beside her right now.

“I’m hungry, should we eat?” I asked.

“Yeah, let’s go.” She said as she tried to get up. I locked her in my arms and she turned to me.

“Let’s go.” She said and I crashed my lips to hers.

“Let’s go, Blake.” She pushed me and got up that seconds. I chuckled and knew that she was uncomfortable having this PDA in public.

“Let’s go, baby.” I got up and put my arm around her. We walked out from the hospital and got into the car. We decided to eat at a brunch restaurant.

Suddenly her phone rang, she took it out from her bag. I glanced and found Alexis’s name on the screen. She picked it up right away.

“Hey Lexy, oh yeah I just visit Blake’s dad in the hospital. Tomorrow? Okay. You’ll pick me up? Okay then. See you tomorrow.” She said and ended the call.

“Is there something wrong?” I asked.

“She missed me, she wanted to hangout.”

“She’ll pick you up right?” I asked.

“Yeah, she knew I’m still healing so yeah, she’ll pick me up tomorrow afternoon.”

“Okay then, that’s good.” We arrived at the restaurant fast since it’s not that far from the hospital. We got off the car and I held her hands going inside the restaurant. We ordered our food and took a seat near the window.

“I’m glad that you talked to your dad, Blake.” Jean smiled and I nodded.

“I remembered after running away from him 10 years ago, I always hoped that he will comeback to start over,” I sighed, “but he never cameback to apologize. He always came to take me away from my mom.”

“It’s all in the past, Blake. It won’t happen again.” Jean held my hand and I nodded.

“I felt relieve in every way.”

“Of course, you did a great job.”

“Gosh, I love you so much!” I kissed the back of her hand. She smiled widely and I can see that her green orbs was shining brightly.

“I asked my dad to come with us to Greece and now I regret it” I stated.

“That’s so great.. Wait? What? You regret it?” She asked totally confuse.

“I regret it because it’s going to be our time together but since my parents will follow.. It won’t be just us both.” She laughed.

“I know that pervert eyes.” She pointed at my eyes and I laughed.

“Too bad, I won’t be in one room with you. I don’t mind sleeping on the floor.”

“If you sleep on the floor then I’ll join you. I will join you wherever you sleep, babe.” She looked at me disbelief.

“I’m not going, go there with your parents only!” I laughed because of her burst out. I just love teasing her, it’s the most enjoyable thing in life.

I’m glad for everything that happen in my life, I might got my happiness quite late but it’s better late than never.
