Davien had never felt this conflicted in his life, and it was no because he was right in the middle of talks concerning a huge deal. It was because the woman who had been on his mind 24/7 was somewhere out there in a club, probably being shamelessly ogled by perverts of all kinds and he wasn’t there to stop it. What bothered him the most was that he knew he technically had no say over what she did because they weren’t even together.

And that was when he realised how much of a fool he had been. They were in love, so what was stopping him from making it official that he wanted to be with her indefinitely? She must have thought he’d used her for intimacy, and that he didn’t even want to be with her.

Setting aside his work, he picked up his cellular device and dialled Donovan’s number. “What’s up, d-bag?” he greeted cheerfully.

“Don, I think I might have screwed up,” he admitted in shame, running a hand through his already unruly raven hair.
