That was all she could see. Alexandra blinked her eyes twice at the darkened ceiling then sighed. She turned over and reached for her night lamp, turning it on with a click. Almost immediately, the whole room was illuminated by the bright purple light.

She stayed still on her bed for a moment longer before turning over on her side and curling into a fetus position.

She felt disturbed. It had been a whole week since she had been discharged from the hospital yet she had been unable to get even the slightest lead on Natalie Marsh.
