Chapter 230 His Selfish Desires.

Throughout his drive back home Lucien did not utter a single word and focused his attention earnestly on the road. He has been quiet not because he had nothing to say and lament about, but rather because he couldn’t say anything.

The words were on the tip of his tongue, yet each time he tried to open his mouth, a piercing pain would hit his chest and at last, he settled for remaining silent for the betterment of himself, but still the pain kept growing.

By the time he arrived home, the pain was almost unbearable. Suffocating his chest tightly and nearly squeezing out the air from his lungs. Lucien managed to compose himself and walked into his house, there, where he was approached by the head butler who welcomed him.

“Master Albrecht, welcome back. Dinner has just been prepared, shall I have the cook bring it up to your study or serve it in the dining hall?” The butler inquired.
