Chapter 17 Bidding Gone Wrong.

Once, when Alexandra was eleven, her grandmother had returned from an overseas trip and brought along a priceless well painted piece of art. The elderly woman had gathered all her grandkids in the huge living area of Grey Manor and promised to gift the souvenir to the highest bidder. The kids had been confused by such declaration, but the thought of having such a eye catching item all too themselves pushed them to join the unsure game.

The elderly woman had watched as all her grandkids used up half of their given allowance, yet, none of them wanted to concede, until she did… until Alexandra placed her total two month’s allowance and won the bid fair and square.

Obviously, the young child later regretted her actions and sold it back to her grandmother at a higher price… which she later came to regret each time she would see the item hung up for display in her grandmother’s study.
