They stepped into the restaurant, the warm ambiance a stark contrast to the chill that had settled between them. Micheal guided her to a table near the window, where they could see the hustle and bustle of the street outside. It was a small, cozy place, the kind that felt more like a hidden gem than a popular spot. The kind of place where you could talk for hours without being interrupted.

The waiter handed them menus, and Micheal watched as Yvonne perused the options, her brow furrowed in concentration.
