Chapter 219: M-Mr. Forger... What are you doing here?

It was Damian Desmond who came to pick her up. They only exchanged words on the way back to the Desmond residence. Sensing her mood wasn't good, he refrained from speaking too much as well.

Upon arriving home and after a hot bath, Fiona Forger felt a bit tired and lay on the bed.

"Are you exhausted?" Damian Desmond asked gently, looking at her face.

Fiona Forger shook her head. "Just a bit sleepy. If you have things to do, go ahead."

Being together for the past two days, they accumulated much work.

"I don't have anything to do." He got onto the bed, pulled her into his arms, and said, "Let's sleep together."

Fiona Forger leaned her head against his chest, closed her eyes, and the familiar warmth of his presence put her at ease.

Damian Desmond gazed at her for a while before she drifted into a sleepy state; he whispered in her ear, "In a few days, I'll take you out."

Fiona Forger heard his words but was too tired to respond. She made a faint sound before falling asleep.
