"Well, this should be fun." Summer says as she opens the door and enters before I can stop her. "Hello Autumn, remember me?" Summer says playfully as she approaches the bed and then sits by Autumn's legs. "Are you trying to be funny?" Autumn asks her confused. "Please excuse my sister, you may lost your memories but she lost her mind years ago and still hasn't found it." I say as I smack Summers's shoulder and she smacks me back. "She seems like a handful." Autumn says as she observes her. "That I am, but for better or for worse you grow to like that about me." Summer says with a smile and Autumn smiles back. "Have you met anyone else?" Summer asks her as I walk to the chair and sit down. "Iv seen an older man here but I was too tired to talk to him. I think he said he was my father." Richard must off been here when I left. "Well have enough time to talk now that you are finally awake, you scared us." Summer says as she rubs her leg. "What happened to me? How did I get in this
"Oh excuse us, we should have knocked." Richard says as he comes in and Adam strolls in behind him. I get up from the bed and stand next to Autumn while Adam glares at me. "That alright Richard, we were just..." I stop not sure what to say. She caught me by surprise. I never thought she would kiss me like that. "I wanted to know how he kisses." Autumn said like it was nothing. "Amazing by the way." She says as she turns to me and I probably smile like an idiot. "Did the doctor fill you in?" I ask Richard. "Yes, my father told us about everything." Adam answered as his eyes never left me. "Who are you?" Autumn asked as she stared at them. Richard moved forward and came to the side of the bed placing his hand on hers. "I am your father, Autumn. And this is a family friend, Adam. His father is one of your doctors." Adam walks up from Richard's side of the bed and extends a hand to her. Autumn reluctantly took his hand and shook it before pulling it back. "I remember seeing you brie
"Why should he mind? We're engaged, aren't we?" Autumn asked confused while Richard and I looked at each other. This was obviously news to him."Yes we are, but it is still his house. It's polite to ask." I say as she narrows her eyes at me."Ok, you don't mind, do you? I kind of like having him around." She likes having me around, that's good. Because I'm not going anywhere."Of course not, he is welcome anytime." Richard says as he looks at me when someone knocks on the door."Come in." Richard says as he gets up from the bed and the door opens as my father steps inside. He struggles to close the door as he carries a bucket of flowers while also holding his walking cane so I go to help him. "Hello, Richard." My father first dressed him before looking at Autumn. "Autumn." He says as he slowly approaches her and hands her the flowers. "It nice to see you awake, you gave my son quite a scare." Autumn takes the flowers and brings them to her nose to smell them."I hope you like them." M
"Are you finally going to tell me where are we going?" I ask my father as we drive through the town. "Relax son, we are almost there." I hate it we he acts all cryptic. "Why don't you tell me about your plans with Autumn?" My plans? My plan is to take care of her and make her happy this time around. "I wanted to talk to you about that. I was thinking you would come back to take charge of the company while I help Autumn recover. For that, I will have to go to the Hamptons." Even if he doesn't accept, he'll just have to deal with it. Even if the company goes to ruin I will be by Autumn's side. "Dont worry about it, I understand. Besides going back to the company will be good for me, to take my mind off of things that happened lately. Until they catch Alice and I find the coward of her mother." I can't believe Alice managed to escape, until she is found I won't be able to rest. But a part of me hopes that at least she ran far enough to be as far away from Autumn as possible. "Thank yo
Two weeks later. I finally got my suitcases ready and in the car, all that was left to do was to pick up the new ring I ordered them to make since I couldn't find the original one anywhere, I don't even remember what happened to it that night. Oh, and the flowers I ordered for Autumn since today she is finally getting discharged from the hospital and also we are going to learn the baby's gender. The doctors agreed to let her go home mostly because Autumn insisted, but they made it clear she is still on bed rest, minimal walking and a good diet. Thankfully her appetite is strong so there won't be any problems there. There wasn't a day in which I haven't been at the hospital, we talked all day and slowly she is making a clear picture of what is her life supposed to look like. Except for a few details from the past, it turns out I'm not the only one keeping secrets. They also never told her she didn't grow up with them, Richard said that for now it was better like that. So she would fe
"And now as for the gender of the baby..." The doctor said and both Autumn and I looked at each other waiting to see if we were having a boy or a girl. "Actually, it turns out the baby doesn't wanna let us know just jet. It turned so it's hard to see. Maybe by the next appointment, it will change its mind." Autumn just smiled as the doctor removed the wand and the nurse whipped down the gel from her stomach. "We know what is important, and that's that the baby is ok." I say as get up and kiss her belly then cover it up with a blanket. "I'll bring you the discharge papers in a moment so you can help her get dressed, Richard said he'll be here soon with the helicopter." The doctor said before he left the room. "Are you excited about going home?" I ask her even tho I know the answer. "I'm just glad I get to leave this room, I can't stand the smell of it anymore." Autumn didn't like hospitals beforehand, it reminded her of her mother and how she died. Maybe deep down that's the reason
"That's what we are traveling in?" Autumn asked as I pushed her in a wheelchair towards the helicopter. "Yes, it's the quickest way of traveling. You're not scared are you?" Truth be told traveling by helicopter wasn't one of my favorites either but I can manage. "It just looks so... I don't know...are you sure we can take the car?" She asks as we stop in front of it. "Baby, it's going to be ok. It's safe, trust me. And the view is not something you want to miss." I put my hand under her arm as she puts her hands around my neck while I lift her up to carry her in and strap her in the seat as Richard joins us. "Ready to go home?" He asks Autumn as he buckles his safety belt. "She is a bit nervous about flying." I say as I take her hand. "In that one movie I watched with Summer the helicopter lost one of his flying things and went crashing down, so excuse me if I'm a bit skeptical." She says as one of her hands grips the side of the chair. I knew I shouldn't have let them wat
"Autumn dear, so good to finally have you back. I'm your aunt Eloise." Eloise greats Autumn with a big hug before taking a step back and Alex steps forward. "I'm your cousin Alex and this is my twin brother Sasha. We missed you around here." Alex said as Sasha stepped forward. "This is our Mrs.Hendrics, if you ever need anything she will get it for you. She makes sure this house runs perfectly." Sasha said as he put his arm around Mrs.Hendrics before she looked at him dead seriously and he took the arm away. "Anything you need, no matter the hour just call for me and I'll be there." Mrs.Hendrics looks like a tough lady, but when she talks you can sense from her voice just how caring she actually is. "Did you prepare the room for Mr.Davis?" Richard asked and Adam looked surprised by the news. "Of course, I prepared the one next to Miss Autumn. His suitcases are already in there and the maids are taking care of everything as we speak." Sharing a room is out of the question but at le
