Stay tuned! :)
"The same way you could get Gregory to fall in love with you, Mother. Dont think I don't know what happened. I realized it when you gave me the idea to drug Autumn and get her into that hotel for Domenic to find her in bed with another man." "What are you talking about Alice?" "Oh please, the same happened to Domenic's mother except she never walked out of that room alive." "What happened, mother? Did you kill her?" "I wasn't planning it, I wanted her to live and suffer as she lost everything she took from me. But the drugs were too strong for her weak heart and it failed. It was an accident. But you wanted that girl dead, that's why you had that gas leak arranged and the brakes cut." "How did you manage to cover that up?" "Like I always do, I paid to have the tests altered and say what I wanted them to say." As the recording ended Gregory seemed to be in shock, he lost hold of his walking cane and grabbed his arm as Domenic jumped to catch him. "Father!" Domenic yelled as
Domenic's POV My hands were drenched in Autumn's blood coming from the back of her head as her eyes fluttered until they closed. "Autumn! Autumn! Autumn baby wake up, you can't leave me. I won't let you, open your eyes." I called out for her as my tears fell on her cheeks. "Call the ambulance, now!" I yelled at Adam who came rushing to Autumn's side. "I'm already calling, just don't move her you could do more damage than good." Adam said with his phone in his ear as he tried to move me away from Autumn. But the blood, the worm liquid that had already filled her brown hair was now mowing to her shoulders. "Oh my God." Miguel said as he rushed through the door and then stopped at the sight of Autumn on the floor. He took a cloth from the nearby table and rushed to put it under Autumn's head. "How did this happen?" He asked but my mind was still in a haze as the image of her fall kept rewinding in my head. "Alice pushed her down the stairs. I already called the ambulance, stay her
"How is she? How is Autumn?" I ask the doctor as Summer comes to stand next to me. "And the baby? Are they alright?" I couldn't read his face at all so there was no tell in the situation."As of right now we were able to stabilise the baby, but the real problem is the risk of the placental abruption. The fall caused the placenta to detach itself in two spots but we were able to control it with medications and there had been many cases in which the pregnancy can come to full term." Summer rubbed my hand as the doctor spoke. The baby will be ok, it has to be. But what about Autumn? "Doctor, and the mother? How is Autumn?" Summer asked and there was a slight shift in the doctor's face that I didn't like."Miss Autumn had suffered quite a hematoma on the back of her head causing inflammation and swelling, we were able to stabilize her but..." The doctor made a pause and took a look at all of us."But what?" I ask as the silence and the wait are killing me."Miss Autumn has fallen into a c
"Where is my daughter?!" Richard yelled as he ran into the hallway. "What happened to Autumn?" He asked but before I could say anything Adam got up and stood before Richard. "Uncle Richard, Autumn... Autumn is in a coma." Adam said and Richard's eyes widened in fear and shock then he looked at me. "What are you doing here?" I have no idea what Autumn told him about me, but from how he was looking at me I'd say he didn't have a nice picture of me. "Autumn was at his house when it happened, Alice pushed her down the stairs." Again Adam spoke before I even had a chance to open my mouth. It's obvious he respects Adam and is fond of him. "What? Why was Autumn at his house in the first place? You were supposed to bring her home after you were done with that man and the police took over. I knew I shouldn't have let her go." Richard said and Adam just looked at his feet. "She wanted to go to her house to pick up some things, Mr. Davis was there. They talked and then..." Then what? I
It only lasted for a second but I am sure I felt her gripping my hand before it relaxed again. "Autumn, baby. You can hear me, I'm here." I said as I looked at her hand again waiting for her to do it again. "Come on baby, do it again. Wake up." I said then I pressed the nurse button. "You're going to be fine, I know it." I knew she could fight this, she wasn't just gonna give up. I want to believe she can hear me, and that she is reacting to me. "What happened?" The nurse asked as she entered and a few doctors came in after her. "I think she's waking up, I was talking to her and she squeaked my hand for a moment," I said as the doctors came closer to look at the monitors. "Please sir, go outside." The nurse said as she was trying to leave me outside. "No, what is happening? Tell me." I insisted as I tried to see what were the doctors doing to her. "The doctors will be with you shortly, please for her sake let us do our job." The nurse said as she finally got me out of the room
"What happened? Did she wake up?" I ask the doctors, but the fact that they are all out here doesn't strike me as good news. "Like we told you before, this will take time. Every hour that passes should work in her favor." It should? But what if it doesn't? I won't be able to take that. My heart is already having trouble resisting this much. "But she grabbed my hand, she squeezed my figures. That has to mean she's reacting. That she's trying to pull through." I holding onto that hope for dear life. "Patients in that state often have unintentional, reflex movements that unfortunately don't mean anything." A reflex, and I was holding onto hope that she was able to feel my presence in there with her. "So you just came out here to tell us things we already know? Go back in there and do something!!!" I raised my voice in desperation but Summer immediately pulled me back. "Domenic calm down, they are only doing their job. We have to be patient and hope that this will be over soon." Hope,
"Summer honey please calm down." Anthony tried to console Summer as she cried. "Don't ask me to calm down, my best friend is in a coma because of us." I can't say that I haven't thought the same way, if it weren't for me Alice would have never entered Autumn's life, she would have never been in danger, Leo would still be alive and probably with her. All of this would have been avoided only if I never walked into that cafe that day in order to buy it. But then again I would have stayed that cold-hearted baster I was until she warmed my heart again. Summer wouldn't have met Anthony and be so happy with him. The truth about my mother would have never come out. "Summer you guys aren't responsible for what happened. Alice is. And soon enough she will be caught and held responsible for her actions." Anthony was right, placing the blame on us won't bring us any good. There is only one responsible and she will pay for it, I'll make sure of it. "Anthony why don't you take her home to rest, I
"Ha ha, very funny Autumn." Summer said as she walked over to the bed, but I don't think Autumn was joking. "You're getting back at me for the time I did it to you." Summer added but Autumn just kept looking at her before trying to sit up but I stopped her. "Let go of me, dont touch me. Who are you?" She said as she snapped my hands away and I stepped back. "Autumn baby, is me... Domenic." I said as I wanted to take her arm but she tried to turn away. "Who is Autumn?... I.. Where am I? Who are you people?" God this can't be happening, she lost her memory. "I'll go call the doctor." Summer said as the smile disappeared from her face and she went out to call for help. "Autumn hey, look at me." I said gently but she just kept shaking her head as she pulled the breathing tube out of her nose and pulled the pulse oximeter from her figure and the monitor started beeping. "Autumn baby, calm down. think about the baby." I say, but if she doesn't remember me how would she remember the bab
