Henry is hugging Autumn, and it's not just a quick friendly hug. It's a long, hands-around-her-waist kind of hug, and something in my gut is yelling no. "So happy to see you again Autumn, it has been quite some time since I last saw you." He says as his head is still by her shoulder but thankfully Autumn starts to pull back."Altho for you it's like seeing me for the first time, given your situation." He adds before he lifts his eyes to me."Domenic, good to see you again." He says and Autumn turns to me. She walks to my side and takes my hand."How are you, Henry?" I ask him as I extend my hand towards him and he takes it."Good, it could be better but I'd rather not complain." He says as his gaze turns to Autumn again. "Thank you for the invitations.""Oh no problem, we actually have a little get-together at the boat and you are coming with us. You have a lot to catch me up on." Autumn says as the rest of the party joins us from the living room."Let me introduce you to everyone." A
Autumns POVMoments before Domenic arrived..."There you are. What are you doing here all alone?" I ask Leo as he stands on the upper platform of the boat."Sorry, I guess I'm not really in the partying mood. I came to get my mother off my back." He says then stares off into the distance."Is something troubling you? If you ever need someone to talk to... I'm here for you." I say as I touch his hand in comfort and he looks at me again."Thank you, Autumn." He says as he stares into my eyes but quickly looks away."So? What got you in the bad mood?" I ask as I turn to stare at the distance with him."Today...today is supposed to be my birthday." He says and I look at him surprised."No, don't congratulate me." Leo says, his hand in the air as a sign to maybe, possibly back off."I don't understand." I say and he sighs."Today's date is the one I got assigned in the orphanage, the estimated date of my birth because my parents left me with nothing to show for. So I don't need congratulati
...."Yeah sure, you can tell me anything?" I say as I hold onto the side of the boat, feeling uneasy."I know you don't remember your past, but I think it's wrong that they are keeping you in the dark about some things." God, he must be refusing to the relationship I had with Leo and the fact no one said anything to me."What do you mean?" I have to ask, that's what a person with no memory would do.Henry looks around to see if anyone is coming before his gaze returns to me."You and my brother were much more than friends, quite frankly I thought you'd be my sister-in-law one day." Sady I never did, no matter how much I truly loved Leo it was never to the point that I loved Domenic. Leo was my rock, someone I could rely on no matter what but unfortunately it was never going to be anything more. My only regret is hurting him so much by being blind to his feelings."My brother loved you, more than anyone else in his life. The two of you were meant to be. That was until Domenic showed up
I stand frozen as Domenic approaches us, how much of that did he hear? "I was just asking Autumn if she remembered she was supposed to go shopping with my mother tomorrow." Leo says, trying to give me an escape route."Yes, I was saying how it was a great night and we could hang out like this for hours but Leo reminded me of a morning shopping spree I'm supposed to go with Aunt Rachel. Nothing fits me quite right anymore." I feel like I said so much yet nothing at all."You look great in everything." Domenic says as he smiles and comes to take my hand."Why don't we go back to the party before Alex hunts us down?" I say as I take the lead and head back."Where is Henry?" Domenic asks as it is clear Henry already left. Thankfully."Oh, he said he had to leave." Leo says."Yeah, he left without saying so much as a goodbye. Rude." Alex adds as they join us."Nevertheless, we are here to have carefree fun so let's cheers to that." I say as I take a glass and lift it in the air. "To liveing
"Leo? What are you doing here?" I ask surprised to see him here."I told you we needed to talk, and we can't do it at home." He is right, there is always someone around."Fine." I say as I walk to the nearby chairs and we sit down."So, when did your memories come back?" Straight to the point, I see."After the wedding." I say and his mouth hangs open."Why? Why would you hide that?" I guess it's hard to understand for someone who hasn't been in my shoes."My past, or at least the past I share with Domenic is filled with troubles. Troubles that I wanted to leave behind me in order to live a happy life." He shakes his head in disagreement."And you can't do that by telling the truth. There is more to it, you don't want to face the past, that is the real problem." How did he manage to know me so well?"There is so much more to the story apart from what you read in that file, Leo. A lot happened between Domenic and me, a lot of hurtful things were said and done." Leo contemplates the thin
One month later"Are you sure she had nothing to do with it?" I asked Leo as he was finally able to dig something up on Alice."She hasn't had any visitors except her father, whoever filled Henry's head with those ideas wasn't her." Then he went mad, that is the only other explanation I have."And what about him? What has he been up to lately?" Leo had someone follow Henry, just to be sure he isn't cooking up anything against Domenic."For a guy making those kinds of accusations, he is living his life pretty quietly. He basically goes to work, then to the gym, sees his mother, and goes home." I guess I should feel relieved. I don't know what came over him but I am glad he is staying away even if it means I'm breaking the promise I made to Leo."That's good, one less thing I have to worry about." I say."And what about the thing we talked about, when are you going to tell Domenic you remember everything?" Leo isn't letting me off the hook, honesty is the best policy has become his favor
"Do you think I should call them? I will call them." I say to Domenic as we drive."Autumn you called them half an hour ago. Prue is fine, just relax and enjoy the trip." I do want to relax, but something inside my chest is unsettled and I can't shake it off."I know, and besides it is not like we are going to the other end of the world, it's a two-hour drive. I just miss her so much." The house we are going to is a courtesy of Anthony's grandfather that Summer passed onto us. It's far away to get disturbed yet close enough to go back in case it is needed."I miss her too. But I am also very excited about spending some alone time with my wife." He says as he puts his hand on my thigh while he drives."Careful there, you don't want us to crash." I say even tho I part my legs just enough for his fingers to brush the inside of my thigh. "I can't wait to see the house, Summer said it was a 1920s Spanish-style home." And I for one love everything Spanish. They make very durable bed frames.
I was trying to collect all of the buttons scattered from my dress while Domenic ran to the car to get our bags so we can take a shower. God how I missed him, the weight of his body over me and dragging my nails down his back as he thrust inside me. So much so that I don't even mind the carpet burn on my back. "I think this is all of it." Domenic says as he drops the bags on the floor. "Did I mention how I appreciate that you pack lightly?" Well, I was never one to exaggerate. "No, but you could show it to me." I say as I put the buttons into the pocket of his shirt that I'm now wearing and I walk up to him. "In the shower?" He asks. "Let's find the room first." I say as I pick up my bag and leave to find a room while he follows me. I enter the first one I see and drop the bag onto the bed to get my things out when Domenic hugs me from behind. "I love it when you wear my clothes." I love it too, it's like being surrounded by his smell. "Enjoy it, it's not like I can walk around
