After hearing Layla's words, Serena shook her head after a moment of contemplation. "It couldn't have been him. When I was drugged, Tobias wasn't even there..."

She did not finish her sentence. Serena could not shake off the peculiar feeling about Tobias's sudden departure that night. She still vividly remembered how, when she was being forced to drink by Isaac and hoped Tobias would say something on her behalf, he silently sat there with his head down.
