“So all I need is a starting point to remove her from the Cole family completely,” Atticus said. “And you, Chloe, are the one who can make it happen. That’s why I put on a brave face and came to seek your help today.”

Atticus chuckled awkwardly. “I must admit, she’s tarnished my reputation beyond repair!”

“She’s the one in the wrong, not you,” I assured him.
