Merliah’s Point of view.
----------------
*You know your limits, and I believe you will be responsible for every decision you commit or are about to make.*
That was my twin brother's last will before letting us leave his room. I was nervous because I thought he would also be with the test we had to pass, but it turned out my brother loves me so much, and he understood my feelings. He was simply concerned and was also afraid of my future.
Dean is here now in my unit. Today seems chaotic to us, but it's okay. At the end of the day, our worries faded a little. After all, we don't have to hide from my brother anymore.
------------------Merliah’s Point of view.----------------Someone rang the doorbell and I thought it's dean, but it was just Arvin. I welcomed him inside the unit and prepared breakfast. Only now did he go again, lately he has been busy with their family business because he is the heir. Well, it's better because I had spent more time with Dean. it's not like I'm forsaking our friendship.“What brings you here? Shall I call Maurice on the other side? ”By the way, Lore slept over on my twin's pad. I am not against my bestfriend sleeping over with my twin. Duh! they did it twice, so it's not a big deal. It's only a matter of time before those two get married but the
-----------------Merliah’s Point of view.----------------Four days after Arvin’s threat and four days our only chat was 'good morning' in the morning and 'good evening' at night. Dean isn't bothering me either and I think he's busy so he doesn't have energy, I'm also busy because I'm preparing for the midterm in the first half of the second sem.We have already discussed that if we are busy there should be no hard feelings when we are not talking. But I have to bother him today because tomorrow morning I am going to Tagaytay. The truth is I was thinking and peeking at the opportunity to decide what was the right thing to do. Should I tell my parents the truth? or should I talk to Dean first?
------------------Merliah’s Point of view.----------------The new year celebration has just ended and I'm ventilating on the veranda. We are in Tagaytay and I'm faking my smile with Arvin's family.Christmas eve and new years eve have ended. Arvin and I haven't talked ever since we came here. Every time he tried to approach me I pretended to be talking to Lore on the phone or else I would approach Maurice. More often I would just lock myself in the room and would go out for dinner.During the whole two weeks of my stay, we didn't have any interaction. He also doesn't force me to talk to him.“Don’t
----------------Maximillan’s Point of view.--------------------The notice of vacating the office came earlier. I bid goodbye to my class because it's my last day of teaching today. I heard from Maurice and Arvin through the phone that Liah is no longer in the dorm and is no longer allowed to use a cellphone without her butler reading who she is talking to. Liah is well-guarded by her butler. I stopped talking to Liah, and I also avoided meeting or even stealing a glance at her. I will leave the university quietly, so as not to complicate everything.I am expecting their parents' confrontation, right away. Fortunately, they have more important business matters to take care of. I was nervous today because I heard from her brother that they had come h
------------------Merliah’s Point of view.----------------"Congrats to us," Arvin said while raising his hand. "See yah at the farewell party later!" he added at the same time while embracing me. I also embraced him back and later we almost cracked into pieces when our circle initiated a group hug.We met at the same venue after the program, at different venues and times because the graduations per department were held in various places. Usually, graduation is held in one venue and there are different times to accommodate all the colleges, but because it is Elysian, the fee for the venues is no longer a problem.“Congratsss to us! We made it! Maurice and I can get married,” sai
------------------Merliah’s Point of view.----------------“Dean, ask for a favor. He booked as a unanimous client in one of the hotel rooms. Come quickly! You have an hour and a half to talk.”I immediately handed Lore the glass of juice, I was about to leave when Maurice took my hand."What? I need to hurry," I said.Maurice took something from his pocket and opened my hand. "Here.""What am I going to do with this?"What the heck? He gave me Durex extra thin!
------------------Merliah’s Point of view.----------------I deepened the kiss, so did he. I started unbuttoning his polo, but he captured my hand and stopped me from doing what I intended to do."Liah, let's not disappoint your parents. I want them to approve of our relationship.""I really hate your conservative mindset. I want to give myself to you before going abroad.” I’m dead serious here."Liah, this is wrong…"I placed my index finger on top of his lips and pushed him to bed. "No more, reasoning. Just let me have you today." I run my finger
------------------Merliah's POINT OF VIEW----------------------------University of Oxford, England | Graduation day.“Are you kidding me? You won't come here?! In case you forgot, today is your sister and my graduation, yet you're blubbering an excuse not to come here?" Lore's nose is breathing fire while holding a conversation with my twin brother, her fiance. These two are always fighting, but it's just subtle, and I'm used to it because they are like that in our college days."H-" Lore was about to explode in anger when Maurice cut off the call. My twin is crazy, he loves it when his fiancée gets angry.
—--------------------Merliah’s POINT OF VIEW—-----------------We’re looking for a potential home hoping to find one nearby Lore's residence. Unfortunately, there are no more available houses or even lots at all.We dislike the two houses we visited because one has a bad view. While the other one has a small yard, and both are not in a good location. We are now heading to the last house we will inspect, and hopefully, it will be the last because I am tired, to be honest."What do you think of this one?" he said while pointing to the big house, it has two floors, and the outside is beautif
—--------------------Maximillan's POINT OF VIEW—-----------------I was standing alone in a vast garden when all of a sudden a voice had caught my attention.I was distracted when I heard the voice; it kept calling me ‘Daddy!’I couldn’t see the owner’s voice, so I followed the sound of weak laughter.“Come, find me.”I was confused because a new voice was calling me again. I turned around and found a boy standing behind me.
—--------------------Maximillan's POINT OF VIEW—-----------------I tried to close the gap between our faces when suddenly...~ tok ~ tokI almost cried in pain when my back hit the floor because she suddenly pushed me. I fell on the bed. Thus, the floor caught my back.“Brother, we are leaving. Please open the passcode,” Maurice said on the other side of our bedroom door.Good thing that they are leaving… so… I wonder if we can continue despite our ruined moment.I watched her leave as she approached the door until she closed the bedroom door. I deliberately showed that I was sulking or I wasn't in the mood. I frowned when I heard the bedroom door open. I kept quiet and waited for her to notice me or lie down on the bed to rest."Instead of frowning, how about you take the Durex out of the drawer?"
—--------------------Merliah's POINT OF VIEW—-----------------My brother and sister-in-law are hanging out today in our humble pad because there might be less chance of us seeing and comfortably bonding like this as they will live far from us."Who are you talking to?" Maurice asked lore. He noticed his wife was laughing while holding her phone.“Ah, I talked to my former classmate in a specialized course at Oxford. This acquaintance of mine is talking about the one who liked me last year. He's still broken.”"So?" Maurice asked with a frown, and his eyebrow furrowed.“That guy who liked me back then has a friend who was also broken-hearted because of Liah”"Who are you referring to?" I asked innocently. I don't remember anyone trying to woo me during my stay in Oxford.“Remember that guy who a
—--------------------Merliah's POINT OF VIEW—-----------------Watching a movie with Max without the fear of getting caught by my fellow students nor his fellow faculty is so rewarding. We never tried dating in a cinema or public place during university days back then. I didn't know it was worth the shot.We had used to just binge watch in his dormitory when he was my professor and our college dean. We have to avoid seeing familiar faces and getting entangled with gossip.I leaned my head on the shoulder of my betrothed while his right arm rested on my shoulder. We are not fond of romantic movies, so the genre we chose is mixed with action; since we both have the same taste in movies.
—--------------------Merliah's POINT OF VIEW—-----------------I heard steps coming from sandals approaching me. However, I didn’t look back to see whoever came to me. I never lose my gaze at the motion of the cloud from here in the hotel garden."What are you doing here? Are you upset because you had to move your wedding to next year instead of getting married this year?”I turned around and smiled at mommy. We are never close, but I am not mad with my parents. We're just not close since they are always busy. Even though Maurice inherited daddy's company, we still didn't have the chance to bond with our parents, they never reached out, and the same goes for us. We only me
—--------------------Merliah's POINT OF VIEW—-----------------"Hey, what are you doing there?" I patted Maurice with my foot.“Liah”“It's late, why are you sleeping outside? Don’t tell me you forgot the passcode of your pad? Why don't you call me Lore?”"She changed the passcode and forbade me to let me in."I scratched my head as I tried to figure out what had happened to the two of them. Lore probably got mad at my twin again."Wait, I'll just put these i
—--------------------Merliah's POINT OF VIEW—-----------------I stood in the body-sized mirror of the hotel where our wedding was being held. My heart was pounding as I listened to the sound of a large clock hanging on the wall.“This is it, liah. Today you will become Mrs. Dereux,” I whispered.Later I heard the door open. I turned around and saw a man holding the door, and I wondered why he wasn’t walking closer to me. He just stared at me from head to toe.I was nervous seeing his reaction, he was not the epitome of the happy man who's about to get married to the love of his life.“W-What’s wro
—--------------------Merliah’s POINT OF VIEW—-----------------After quarreling, spending time together without worries is a must to fix the gap in our intimacy. We decided to spend quality time outside today because we've been busy these past few daysWe deserve this date. I want to do what we couldn't do when we were still at Elysian University. I want to go to those places that we couldn't go to when I was her dean and professor because we were afraid of backlash in our relationship. The first place we visited was the playground near MAUI. It was the place where Max kissed me next to the swing. I still have these uncontrollable butterflie
