Attack:
Dinner was nice, the sadness faded away and they talked about life. Nora was helping Loretta out in cleaning up when she noticed Jace’s eyes seemed to be glossed over. She knew he was talking to the pack. Loretta also picked up on it.
“He work a lot? He looks like a man whose life is his job.” Loretta said motioning to the glossed over look.
“Yeah he doesn't get a break. He’s responsible for a lot of people.” Nora said softly.
“Well that's good because he has initiative and integrity. But in the long run does that leave any time for you.” Loretta said with a wink.
“He makes time for me.” Nora smiled, glancing over to him.
“So are you two serious, serious?” Loretta as
Damage:Nora pulled the car up to the hospital. She didn't even turn off the engine as she rounded the car to the passenger side door. Opening it she was prepared to carry Dante into the hospital on her own if she had to. Reaching in and pulling him into her chest. She felt a hand on her shoulder.“Miss, let us help, Wyatt told us you were on the way.” a young man said to another standing behind him.Nora nodded, stepping out of the way. They pulled the stretcher up to the car and carefully loaded Dante onto it. Nora's stomach was in knots as she watched them wheel Dante in.“You can follow us, miss. Don't worry about your car, it's fine there.” The young man explained as he entered the hospital.
Stay: “Bandages and something to clean the wounds with now.” Wyatt ordered the nurse standing in the doorway; as he motioned for Nora to sit on the bed. The deformed wolf was still twitching on the floor. Jace’s anger was vibrating the room as he went over to it looking at it. He was literally shaking as it confirmed more and more that Kip was behind everything even more. He was angry at himself for not being there to protect his pack. He gritted his teeth looking at Nora. Part of him was angry that he let himself get so wrapped up in her and her problems that he left his pack open. Dylan was dead because of his negligence. Dante was in surgery and who knows what will happen to him. His hands were clenched as he stood over the deformity. He felt a wet substance flowing down over his fingers. “Alpha, go check on Dante. I have
Deceit: “Only one casualty?” Kip groaned listening to Tyler go over what happened. “All that and just one!” He yelled again letting his fist come down on the desk, his red hair scattering loose from his pulled back ponytail. “Yes Alpha.” Tyler said, flinching as he watched him become angry. These days Kip was wound up so tight he was becoming actually afraid of him. He was worried something would flip in his mind and he would be the next one in a hospital bed being experimented on. He wouldn't put it past Kip. Tyler was walking on eggshells for weeks. “Explain. Explanation now!” Kip yelled his eyes not looking at Tyler but it felt like he was looking through him.
Friends?:Nora rolled over a sharp pain coursing through her stomach as she did. The bed was cold and empty. She didn't open her eyes yet but reached out searching for him. She knew before she opened her eyes he was gone. She sat up a feeling of sadness rushing over her. He didn't wake her. She sat up slow her side burning. She stood pulling the shirt up over her head. The bandages were dried but it stung so badly. She decided she was going to take a shower and then go to the hospital to see Dante. She sighed realizing she really didn't have anything here. She would have to come up with something. She wandered into Jace’s closet , it was massive and she giggled a little that a man would have this much clothing. Walking in she stopped short seeing a whole side of woman’s clothing. She felt jealousy surge through her. Whose clothing were these. She went over to a s
Mine:Jace left Dylan’s feeling completely drained. It was brutal Dylan had not been in the training long with Matt, Matt would have shown him how to be a great warrior and leader. He was young and it killed him to see his father and mother like that. Jace told them that he died doing his duty and defending the pack. That if it wasn't for Dylan more deaths would have happened. It was the complete truth and Jace felt it in his chest. He wished he would have been there, maybe he could have saved Dylan. Jace flipped open his phone and dialed Zeke’s number.“Alpha Jace, I didn't expect a call so soon.” Zeke’s voice came across the phone.“Kip arranged an attack on my pack with more of those things.” Jace said his anger could be felt across the phone.
Jealousy: Are you ok? A text message from Logan came through the phone, responding to her message. The phone beeping made her jump. She picked it up in her hand as she sat down on the bed. Jace was on the phone speaking with another Alpha. She could tell by the way he was talking that something big was coming. He was talking about war. I’m ok but something big is coming. Your hunters need to be ready. From what I can gather, someone is making these things. Or so Jace thinks. Nora replied back. Thanks for the heads up. You let me know if you need anything. We are your friends, I promise. Logan texted back. Nora sighed, swiping the text away. She wanted to trust him but she just didn't know. “Ok we will hold a
Lobo:“Come on. Whatever you made smells amazing.” Jace said, pulling back from the kiss.“You can't have any.” Nora smirked at him.“Well that's rude.” Jace smirked, pushing her back into the railing, his face nuzzling in her neck.“No, what's rude is saying that you will cook for someone and then showing up late.” Nora chuckled as his facial hair tickled her neck.“I will make it up to you.” He smiled down at her as he pulled back.“I’m holding you to it.” Nora said firmly.Jace grabbed a hold of her hand and walked back inside. Matt and Dante we
Power: Nora rolled over again to another cold bed. She sighed annoyed. She sat up stretching and reaching for her phone. She groaned. A text message was flashing on her screen from Jace. Had to go meet with Zeke, you looked so peaceful sleeping didn't wanna wake you. Matt and Dante are waiting for you when you're ready to start training. Tired of waking up to a cold bed. Nora sent back with a silly face letting him know she wasn't really mad. I’ll make sure you're warm later, promise. Jace sent back and she could see his sexy smirk of a smile on his face as she read it. She stretched again before walking over to the closest and getting dressed. She was out of the room and down the
Alpha: “Wait, we can't leave yet.” Nora sighed leaning into Jace, she was exhausted. “The hospital, we need to get rid of it. We don't need anyone following in his footsteps. Also I need to know how a man named Asher helped me. Kip’s pack we need to do something about them. They were innocently bound to follow his order and if they didn't he would hurt people close to them so that they would.” Nora began rambling thinking of everything that needed to be done. Just as Jace was about to answer her and tell him to stop, Grayson walked through the pack house door. He was carrying his Alpha, behind him Asher was limping out. The rest of the Black Sands pack walked out their heads hanging low. Nora scanned the group quickly; the only one that seemed to be hurt was Asher. Her eyes landed on the man being carried. She knew in an instant he was gone. Jace frowned deeply as Grayson carried Chadwick towards them. “They used every last bit of his blood.” Grayson said his voice a combination of
Choose: It was warm, the kind of warmth that you want to curl up into. It was like the warmth from the sun as it kissed your skin. Nora opened her eyes. The world around her was golden. She stood up looking around. She accepted the normal loss in the dark setting but this was different. “Nora.” The same voice as always spoke to her. “Hello?” Nora asked, turning around. “You did it. You saved your friends and your mate.” The voice said. A shimmering sparkling light foamed in the distance as a being emerged from it. A woman with the softest looking silver hair stepped out from it. Her eyes glowed like embers from a fire. She walked like she was floating on air.
Enough: Cole went into overdrive seeing Nora and began trying to push through the Lobo’s. He was fierce, growling, snapping, and biting trying to get through. The pause didn't last long, as soon as Cole lost it, the pack picked up his anger and went into a fierce attack mode. Logan began firing arrows into the Lobo’s that were blocking Cole’s way. Kip was grinning, watching as if he had something manically waiting for him. The Lobo’s were falling over from the wolf’s bane. Cole was getting close. Nora watched her friends fighting. She locked eyes with Cole, he was so injured, his black fur looked wet from the blood coming from his wounds. Her heart aching seeing his pain. She felt a Lobo come up and grab her shoulders forcing her to her knees. She could feel her power building, she needed this to stop. She needed t
Battle: Cole collided into one of the Lobo using his body to take out his legs. They stood tall like people on their back legs. The Lobo fell over, Cole jumped on its throat trying to end it quickly. To his left he saw Noah doing battle with another one. A whimper echoed around them and he saw Noah become distracted. A Lobo flung Lilliana into a tree. The Lobo Noah was fighting went to chomp down on his throat. Cole lunged at the Lobo he was attacking and hit the Lobo going after Noah. The Lobo fell off to the side on impact as Cole saved Noah. Noah watched Cole tackle the Lobo, his eyes flickering to Lilliana who still hasn't gotten up off the ground and the Lobo who threw her was approaching her. Cole nodded to Noah telling him to go. Noah nodded back and rushed to Lilliana, skidding in front of her he stared the Lobo down growling showing his teeth. The Lobo smiled before starting
Almost There: Kip walked past the control center glancing at the monitors. He growled angrily, grabbing a hold of the desk and squeezing. The desk began to crack underneath his hands. He watched Jace’s pack run past members of his. They kneeled down and bowed their heads as they ran past. No one was showing resistance. He growled loudly, beginning to huff and puff at the monitors. His eyes glowed red as he continued to glare at the monitors. His eyes glossed over as he attempted to command them. As your Alpha I command all pack members to stop the intruders now. He sent out a painful mind link. Nora watched as the pack members of Kip’s began to shake and shiver as they tried to resist the commands. She could tell they were in pain. Then suddenly it started from the left side, a calmi
Hold on: We’re almost there, hold on Nora. Jace’s voice whispered into her mind. She didn't know if she had made it up but something in her told it was real. She needed to stall him from trying to turn her. “Why kill a home family?” Nora said, angry. “Why not.” Kip shrugged. “So you like killing.” She said, trying to move out of her straps. “Like isn't the right word. Love isn't even the right word. I crave it. Humans are easy prey. They are worthless and honestly they do nothing for this world. They are weak and bottom feeders. Hunters, now hunters. They are fun to kill. They fight and they fight hard. It’s actually a challenge to fight them. It's exhilarating. You k
The one that got away: Nora followed Kip down the long hall. She kept her eyes focused on her surroundings but didn't try looking into any of the rooms. She didn't want to see any more horrors. Kip glanced over his shoulder and noticed Nora’s discomfort and began hitting the buttons on the wall as he passed them. The dark gray wall became clear as Nora walked by each one. Each room held the same horror but different stage. Somewhere just starting to shift, some didn't make it and laid dead on the floor. The nurse in the room looked relieved. Others were the Lobo standing over the person nurse’s dead body. “Why don’t you let the nurses out?” Nora asked as they passed by another room. “At first it was because I didn't care, I wanted to see what my creation would do. Now it's more of a fear cont
Can’t:Nora stepped out into the hall, it was cold. The walls, ceiling and floor were all white. She looked to Asher and he nodded for her to go left. She walked down the hall slowly. Part of it was because it was aerie with the random screaming, the other part was because she was trying to make sure she remembered everything. Walking past the first room, the sound of soft crying was heard. Asher saw her interested and he tapped lightly on the glass of the door. The small shade pulled up, the person inside stepped aside and Asher moved to the right moving out of the way.“Go take a look.” Asher said no emotion in the comment.Nora stepped up to the door. Looking inside was a medical room, there was a girl strapped to a chain in the center, the kind you would see at a dentist. Tears stained he
Move out:She could hear screaming and shouting from the rooms down the hall. Nora sat up the metal from the cuff causing her pain. She didn't know she was this much of a weakling. The man sitting across the way from her didnt even act like he heard the screaming. She looked at him like he was crazy. She slowly got to her feet and began moving across the room.“Where are you going?” He asked her, annoyed.“Obviously not far.” She said, rolling her eyes at her and holding up her hands. She went to the door and he got up like he accepted her to bolt. He went up behind her incase he needed to grab her. She ignored him standing on her tippy toes trying to see out the tiny window in the door.“W
