Luna:
Joel turned up the radio already blasting dance music and was jamming out by the time they pulled into the parking lot of the club. The blue neon lights of the sign beamed down into the parking lot give everything a blue hazy glow. Nora looked up at the sign. The word Luna was hanging off a crescent shaped moon. Typical night club with some moon name. Nora thought, rolling her eyes. Joel was a perfect gentleman and beat her to open her own door. She smiled softly as the door opened andJoel offered her his hand to get out.
“Why thank you kind sir.” Nora chuckled while getting out of the car.
“Your welcome milady. Now the fun begins.” Joel said to her, making a funny face.
“Joel I-<
Hunting:He stalked her from the outside of the dance floor. Did she know he was here? Was she hunting? He watched her giggle as she bumped into someone and made her way back to the bar. The bartender leaned over whispering softly to her. Jace’s wolf inside growled. He had been pacing on the inside of him and now was angry. Jace was confused trying to connect the dots.Listen, I need you to get yourself in check. He thought to his wolf. The bartender rubbed her hand softly as he handed her another shot. Jace stepped forward the anger from his wolf affecting him now. A shot girl walked by him and he scooped one off the tray downing it. What the hell was going on with him.How do you not know. His wolf growled inside of him.
Shifting:The pain rushing through her was mind numbing. She felt like her skin was going to melt off. She grabbed on to the stranger in front of her. Sweat poured down her back as her body began to convulious. Everything hurts, it hurts to breathe. Something invisible is attacking her. She squeezed her eyes shut as she gritted her teeth. She could taste blood in her mouth. Then everything stopped. She opened her eyes slowly, darkness. Everything was pure black, a haunting light appeared off in the distance. Then a rush of wind. Nora shielded her eyes. A metal smell flooded her nose. Her stomach curled in on itself. She knew the smell right away. It was a smell that hunted her. Blood. Images began to flash through her head. A family slaughtered in a small cabin. Wolf tracks on the floor covered in blood. A woman comes home to find her family dead. The ima
Wolf:Jace had been listening and growled. His body vibrated as he tried to control himself and make himself walk away.Go home, he wanted her to go home! Why was she going back into the public! She has no clue what just happened to her or what signals she was sending out. He thought, slamming his fist into the brick wall. The wall cracked instantly and his knuckles bloodied. He clenched his jaw so hard he thought he was going to break a tooth. He groaned as he began walking to the club. He was going to have to drag her home.Home with us. His wolf said excitedly. Her home. Jace growled at him.She belongs with us. His wolf howled.Jace blocked him out as
Encounters:“Nora. Come on, let's go home.” Joel said, pulling her arm.Nora was standing on the sidewalk looking around. She thought she heard or felt something. She glanced at the crowd coming out of the night club. As Joel tugged on her she turned to look over his shoulder. A man was watching her, he had dark blond hair that looked like he had just rolled out of bed. He was leaning against the brick wall in the alley across the street just staring at her.“Earth to Nora!” Joel said, shaking her.“What?” She asked a little annoyedly, her eyes going from the stranger to Joel.“Geesh calm down girl. I was saying we should leave.” Joel
Cole:Nora stretched into something warm, she curled into the heavy heat. It felt amazing. A scent invaded her nostrils. She nuzzled her head into the smell. It was amazing, like how it smelled after it rained. She felt something strong wrap around her and a deep hum came from it. Nora froze, realizing something had her. Her hand traveled over a very chiseled bare chest. Alarms going off in her head as she slowly opened her eyes. Very strong arms had her captured. The person pressed his face into her neck. Another soft hum escaped them as he inhaled. She pulled back slightly trying to see her capture’s face. She spotted the jet black tousled hair first. A piece of it fell on to his brow bone, she couldn't help it and before she could stop herself, she found her hand betraying her and brushing it softly away from his eye. His eyes opened slowly at her touch. The bright ice blue eyes staring down
Testing:Kip sat back in his office, his feet up on his desk, a drink in his hand. It had been hours since the attack yet there was no retaliation. He sat up frustrated pulling back his dark red brown hair into a ponytail. No phone call. He drummed his fingers on his desk. What was Jace doing?Taylor, has Dante reached out to you at all? Kip mind linked his beta.No Alpha, everything is quiet. Taylor repondHow are things going in the lab? Kip askedYou should probably come down. I didn't want to disturb you earlier but things have shifted slightly. You will see what I mean when you come down. Taylor said hesitantly. On my way. Kip responded down the last of his scotch.
Research:“What are we doing here?” Nora asked as they stepped into the dusty old shop.“Research.” Jace answered as he approached the counter.Nora looked around, the store was filled with items she could have swore came from her grandmother's home. Old tea sets, dollies, vintage vase, and glasses. A large mirror hung next to an old grandfather clock. The clock began to ring out as the hour struck. Nora stepped away from Jace who was talking quietly to the store owner. The dongs from the clock memorized her. She found herself standing in front of the clock watching the pendulum bob swing back and forth. She glanced up at the time and tried to focus on it. It was fuzzy and she couldn't make it out. Dong. the clock rang again as her head began to sway. Dong. The world around her went black. She was standing in the middle of a forest. In the center of a clearing. She hushed whispers but couldn't make out where they were
P Plans: Nora groaned as she got into the car. Jace got in quietly and turned the car on. Before she could think of anything to say they were driving off. She glanced over at him. “You know this might work for other girls but this get in the car we're going where i want doesn't really for me.” Nora said firmly. “It doesn't?” Jace said with a playful smile on his lips. “No.” Nora said, annoyed. “Right.” Jace said, his smile turning into a smirk. “Right?” Nora asked her annoyance growing. “Well where are you now and what
Alpha: “Wait, we can't leave yet.” Nora sighed leaning into Jace, she was exhausted. “The hospital, we need to get rid of it. We don't need anyone following in his footsteps. Also I need to know how a man named Asher helped me. Kip’s pack we need to do something about them. They were innocently bound to follow his order and if they didn't he would hurt people close to them so that they would.” Nora began rambling thinking of everything that needed to be done. Just as Jace was about to answer her and tell him to stop, Grayson walked through the pack house door. He was carrying his Alpha, behind him Asher was limping out. The rest of the Black Sands pack walked out their heads hanging low. Nora scanned the group quickly; the only one that seemed to be hurt was Asher. Her eyes landed on the man being carried. She knew in an instant he was gone. Jace frowned deeply as Grayson carried Chadwick towards them. “They used every last bit of his blood.” Grayson said his voice a combination of
Choose: It was warm, the kind of warmth that you want to curl up into. It was like the warmth from the sun as it kissed your skin. Nora opened her eyes. The world around her was golden. She stood up looking around. She accepted the normal loss in the dark setting but this was different. “Nora.” The same voice as always spoke to her. “Hello?” Nora asked, turning around. “You did it. You saved your friends and your mate.” The voice said. A shimmering sparkling light foamed in the distance as a being emerged from it. A woman with the softest looking silver hair stepped out from it. Her eyes glowed like embers from a fire. She walked like she was floating on air.
Enough: Cole went into overdrive seeing Nora and began trying to push through the Lobo’s. He was fierce, growling, snapping, and biting trying to get through. The pause didn't last long, as soon as Cole lost it, the pack picked up his anger and went into a fierce attack mode. Logan began firing arrows into the Lobo’s that were blocking Cole’s way. Kip was grinning, watching as if he had something manically waiting for him. The Lobo’s were falling over from the wolf’s bane. Cole was getting close. Nora watched her friends fighting. She locked eyes with Cole, he was so injured, his black fur looked wet from the blood coming from his wounds. Her heart aching seeing his pain. She felt a Lobo come up and grab her shoulders forcing her to her knees. She could feel her power building, she needed this to stop. She needed t
Battle: Cole collided into one of the Lobo using his body to take out his legs. They stood tall like people on their back legs. The Lobo fell over, Cole jumped on its throat trying to end it quickly. To his left he saw Noah doing battle with another one. A whimper echoed around them and he saw Noah become distracted. A Lobo flung Lilliana into a tree. The Lobo Noah was fighting went to chomp down on his throat. Cole lunged at the Lobo he was attacking and hit the Lobo going after Noah. The Lobo fell off to the side on impact as Cole saved Noah. Noah watched Cole tackle the Lobo, his eyes flickering to Lilliana who still hasn't gotten up off the ground and the Lobo who threw her was approaching her. Cole nodded to Noah telling him to go. Noah nodded back and rushed to Lilliana, skidding in front of her he stared the Lobo down growling showing his teeth. The Lobo smiled before starting
Almost There: Kip walked past the control center glancing at the monitors. He growled angrily, grabbing a hold of the desk and squeezing. The desk began to crack underneath his hands. He watched Jace’s pack run past members of his. They kneeled down and bowed their heads as they ran past. No one was showing resistance. He growled loudly, beginning to huff and puff at the monitors. His eyes glowed red as he continued to glare at the monitors. His eyes glossed over as he attempted to command them. As your Alpha I command all pack members to stop the intruders now. He sent out a painful mind link. Nora watched as the pack members of Kip’s began to shake and shiver as they tried to resist the commands. She could tell they were in pain. Then suddenly it started from the left side, a calmi
Hold on: We’re almost there, hold on Nora. Jace’s voice whispered into her mind. She didn't know if she had made it up but something in her told it was real. She needed to stall him from trying to turn her. “Why kill a home family?” Nora said, angry. “Why not.” Kip shrugged. “So you like killing.” She said, trying to move out of her straps. “Like isn't the right word. Love isn't even the right word. I crave it. Humans are easy prey. They are worthless and honestly they do nothing for this world. They are weak and bottom feeders. Hunters, now hunters. They are fun to kill. They fight and they fight hard. It’s actually a challenge to fight them. It's exhilarating. You k
The one that got away: Nora followed Kip down the long hall. She kept her eyes focused on her surroundings but didn't try looking into any of the rooms. She didn't want to see any more horrors. Kip glanced over his shoulder and noticed Nora’s discomfort and began hitting the buttons on the wall as he passed them. The dark gray wall became clear as Nora walked by each one. Each room held the same horror but different stage. Somewhere just starting to shift, some didn't make it and laid dead on the floor. The nurse in the room looked relieved. Others were the Lobo standing over the person nurse’s dead body. “Why don’t you let the nurses out?” Nora asked as they passed by another room. “At first it was because I didn't care, I wanted to see what my creation would do. Now it's more of a fear cont
Can’t:Nora stepped out into the hall, it was cold. The walls, ceiling and floor were all white. She looked to Asher and he nodded for her to go left. She walked down the hall slowly. Part of it was because it was aerie with the random screaming, the other part was because she was trying to make sure she remembered everything. Walking past the first room, the sound of soft crying was heard. Asher saw her interested and he tapped lightly on the glass of the door. The small shade pulled up, the person inside stepped aside and Asher moved to the right moving out of the way.“Go take a look.” Asher said no emotion in the comment.Nora stepped up to the door. Looking inside was a medical room, there was a girl strapped to a chain in the center, the kind you would see at a dentist. Tears stained he
Move out:She could hear screaming and shouting from the rooms down the hall. Nora sat up the metal from the cuff causing her pain. She didn't know she was this much of a weakling. The man sitting across the way from her didnt even act like he heard the screaming. She looked at him like he was crazy. She slowly got to her feet and began moving across the room.“Where are you going?” He asked her, annoyed.“Obviously not far.” She said, rolling her eyes at her and holding up her hands. She went to the door and he got up like he accepted her to bolt. He went up behind her incase he needed to grab her. She ignored him standing on her tippy toes trying to see out the tiny window in the door.“W
