Chapter three(intertwined with the CEO)
Sapphire's Point Of View: A sharp gasp escaped my lips in shock as mum's voice came from behind. âWhat are you doing here?" She asked. I turned immediately, closing the file. âI- you left your door openâŚâ I stuttered. "thanks.â She said, I left the room immediately. My phone rang with a notification. I took it out and saw a message from MI AMOR. I read, 'Hey, Sapphire. You acted a bit off today, are you okay? You can always talk to me. Love you.â. My heart jumped as I read the content of the text. I took deep breaths before replying, âNothing, babe. Thank you. Love you too.â. ~ âOh. My. God! Yes!!" I screamed as I read the email. 'Hello there, we hope this email finds you well. After much consideration and deliberation, we're pleased to announce to you that you successfully secured the job with us. You are to resume work by 8am, March 1st. The location is below:â My heart skipped a beat at the date. That was today! Crap, I saw the email late. It was only fifteen minutes until 8am. Without thinking twice, I threw my phone in the bed and went into my walk-in closet, scrambling for an official outfit. I wore a black skirt and a white shirt. I pulled my hair into a ponytail before grabbing a corporate black bag. I ran down the stairs with my phone in my hand and my bag in my cubital fossa. Mum was seated in the living room, she raised her gaze to me as I ran down the stairs. âHi mum, bye mum." I greeted, rushing through the living room. âWhere are yo-â I slammed the door before she could finish her sentence. âTaxi!" I shouted, waving at a taxi. I barely waited for it to fully park before I ran into it. We arrived at an industrial building with a huge logo on top. Here I was, at the headquarters of Lanhard Luxe, the most selling sneaker brand in America. I didn't have enough time to admire how elegant the building was, so I ran inside the building immediately. I was already twenty four minutes late! âGood morning." The reception greeted me with a smile on her face. âGood morning. I am the newly hired personal assistant and I was asked to resume at 8am.â I said. She looked into the monitor in front of her before looking back at my face as if she was trying to point out something, "Oh, name?â She inquired. "Sapphire Sage.â I replied. "Oh. I thought as much. You look nothing like the hired personal assistant here. So ... .there was an error and the email was accidentally sent to you, we're sorry and we understand it might be heartbreaking but it's a fault.â She replied, making the smile on my face melt away. âWhat do you mean there was a fault? I can show you right here!â I frowned. "Check your email, we emailed to you that it was an error right after the discovery.â. I went to my email and I immediately saw it, 'We are sorry to announce to you that it was an error, you are not the chosen person.â. âSo you mean this is a total waste of time and I am not actually hired?" I asked. âWe are deeply sorry!â She apologized. I nodded, biting my lip as I placed a hand on a countertop and looked away. For some reason, I didn't want to leave immediately. I mean who would want to after such intense excitement, and it was just crushed. Someone walked in through the door. âGood morning, sir." The lady greeted him. The man was dressed in a black suit with white inner and black trousers. He had black shades on to match with his perfect black hair. He smiled at the lady, âGood morning. Has my new personal assistant resumed yet?â He asked. She nodded, âYes, sir. She's on the fourth floor waiting for you to arrive.â She replied. His gaze traveled to me, I flashed him a smile. He stared at me longer than he was supposed to. My smile began to shake as I averted his eyes. He took off his shades, casting out his blue eyes that caught my attention. My mouth was left hanging in the air when I noticed the scar by his eyes. He wasâŚâŚthe man I had a night stand with! He broke our eye contact, turning to the lady immediately. âSonia, why is she here?" He asked. She stuttered, "I'm so sorry, sir. I ju-justâŚ.she came for the job also. There was an issue where we accidentally emailed that she got the job meanwhile she didn't get the job. It was a mistake. She's just about to leave whe-â. He cut her off, âDismiss the one waiting on the fourth floor.â He ordered. He then turned to me, "You're hired!â. A gasp escaped my lips, "Really, sir?!â. "Yes. You are.â He mumbled. "B-but sir, she didn't pass the review. Sh-â. He raised his hand, and she immediately stopped talking. He threw her a stare that I couldn't decipher, he then turned to leave. I followed behind him with my bag in my hand. We got into the elevator, yet didn't say anything to each other. After arriving on the fourth floor, we went to his office after ignoring everyone greeting him. I personally didn't want to ignore them but since he did, I decided to. He dismissed the lady who was sitting at the front of the office. She begged him but her pleas didn't seem to move a strand of his hair. I personally felt sorry for her, but then I remembered it was either her or me! He sat and I stood across the table. âCan I get the schedule book, sir?". A smirk crawled on his face, his blue eyes pinning me again the same way they did a few days ago. My heart ran wild, my grasp tightening on my bag as I tried looking away but I couldn't for some reason. We were intertwined.Chapter four(sex with a stranger) Landon's Point Of View: I rose up quietly, searching for the sheets, only to notice that bitch had left the hotel. I planned on having another round with her today but she left. Last night was amazing, that bitch wasn't so skilled but she made me feel what really great, the way I never felt with other ladies probably because this was my first time not using a condom. She seemed to be drunk last night which was an extra bonus for me, I did things to her, things that made me feel guilty of attempted murder. My phone rang as I got into my car. âDrive," I ordered the chauffeur who nodded before starting the engine. I answered the call. âHey, Kai.". He replied, âHey. Meet me at that popular bar. What's it called? Yeah, liquor bar.â. "It's too early to be at the bar.â. âI know you're mad at me. But just meet me there,âhe said before ending the call. "Liquor bar.âI said to my chauffeur. He took a sharp left turn immediately. I arrived
Chapter five(A god or demon)Sapphire's Point Of View:A smirk crawled on his face, his blue eyes pinning me again the same way they did a few days ago. My heart ran wild, my grasp tightening on my bag as I tried looking away but I couldn't for some reason. We were intertwined.âSit." He ordered, stretching out his hand to the seat across his. I nodded, flashing him a smile, âthank you, sir." I spoke so nicely that I couldn't help but wonder if it was truly me who spoke. The Sapphire I knew could never speak so nicely to a random man, especially one who I slept with.âCan we meet tonight?â He asked. His questions had my heart thumping hard against my ribcage. I began to stutter.âI-i- s-sure. Of course, I'll b-be here tonight.â I replied."No, no, not here. I mean in that same hotel.â He clarified. I averted his eyes for a while. âCourage, gorgeous.â He repeated those same words he said last night. âYou'll be safe." He added.I nodded, "B-but IâŚ.â"Perhaps my house will be fine then?â
Chapter six(childhood memories)Sapphire's Point Of View:I went home immediately the next day. Last night was one of the hottest nights ever. Mr. Landon exceeded my expectations. He did things to me, I knew it. Things I didn't expect him to do. Things I thought he was joking about.âI won't stop until you beg, until you cry.â I remembered his sexy words.I sighed as I got out of the taxi and went into the house. Mum was there in the living room with some snacks and a blanket as she watched the tv.Crap! I thought she wouldn't be home, but how could I have forgotten that she had no job.She noticed me and immediately sprang out of the couch. âWe have a threat!â She informed me.âWhen did I start taking the mafia family seriously?â I asked, laughing as I threw my bag on the couch. She stretched her hand and placed it on my shoulder. âI thought we talked about this. I understand you want a simple life but it's your responsibility right now, just for a few years. When you get married and
Chapter seven(Sonia is his girlfriend)Sapphire's Point Of View:I got dressed in a black skirt and tucked in white shirt with black corporate heels. I let my beautiful wavy black hair cascade down my back.I got out of the house, bading mum goodbye, pretending as if nothing just happened a few minutes ago.I stopped a taxi and boarded it. After a few minutesâ ride, we arrived at my new workplace; Lanhard Luxe headquarters. The building never failed to amaze me each time I set my gaze on it.I walked in, my black heels clicking against the marble floors as I headed towards the building. I entered and was welcomed with the reception.âGood morning, Sonia." I said, grinning as I walked towards the elevator. The receptionist immediately raised her gaze from the screen before her, to look at me. She threw me a nasty glare but as soon as she noticed my eyes on her, her glare melted into a sweet but forced smile.Okay, strange.I wasn't in the mood for haters, neither was I in the mood to f
Chapter eight(distance from him)Sapphire's Point Of View:Her lips parted as her hand flew to her mouth. The tears finally dropped silently.âL-land- my ri-ng?" She stuttered, shaking in betrayal.âNow get out of my office!" Landon shouted, banging his hand on the desk. I saw the pain in Sonia's eyes and immediately felt sorry for her, even though I didn't really know what heartbreak felt like because Tyler was the only man I loved dearly enough to break my heart but he never dared to break my heart.âBut⌠Landon, I love you and you- love me too. What went wrong?....is. Is it because of her? I- I swear IâŚis this a prank?â She asked, years flowing out of her eyes uncontrollably.âI said. Get. Out. Of. My. Office. Now!!â He yelled, gritting his teeth. She flinched, weeping before scrambling her way out of the office reluctantly.I looked down at my lap, not saying anything.âYou okay?" He asked.Excuse me! How do you expect me to be okay after you just humiliated a human like that. A
Chapter nine(I chooseâŚ.)Sapphire's Point Of View:I looked to my left, looking into a quieter and darker road. For some reason, I heard this tiny voice in my head, 'Go, Sapphire.â. what the fuck?!I gladly followed the voice and went into the road that was as silent, dark and empty as a graveyard. As I walked in, I encountered multiple abandoned buildings.I saw a dimly lit space ahead, it was an opened warehouse. I entered the silent warehouse. It was so silent that my breath echoed in the space. But at least it was lit.A mysterious man emerged from the shadows. He had jet black hair that complimented his midnight blue eyes. His shoulders were broad, making him look more muscular than he actually was.He was quite tall with jaw-dropping looks, not just his looks were jaw-dropping, his enchanting eyes were manipulative. He wore black long leather jacket that reached his knees, they had long strips by the waist. Compliment with a black shirt, and black pants. He steadily approached
Chapter ten(terms and conditions)Sapphire's Point Of View:âI chooseâŚ..â. I sighed, rethinking my decision. I couldn't, I just couldn't choose. It was the toughest decision of my life. I swallowed hard as I thought about it.I didn't know who to choose. Who deserved my trust, just who? How would I know when I basically knew literally nothing about either of them! The only thing that makes a difference is I already had sex with one of them.âI chooseâŚ.. Landon.â I breathed out.I hoped I wouldn't regret my decision later on but I knew Landon and even though I knew he was toxic, it was better to go with him right? Rather than someone I barely knew, someone who was claiming to be the good guy and painting Landon as a bad guy.Yes, Landon was a bad guy, I could tell. But the devil you know is better than the angel you do not know right?I knew Landon would be able to protect me and those I care about but I didn't know this manâs capabilities. And although I knew my love life was at risk
Chapter eleven (date with Tyler)Sapphire's Point Of View:âIt seems it's time to open those legs for your fiance.â He whispered coldly.I shook my head. âNo, no, no. You can't do that! You can't force me to have sex with you when I'm not willing to. First thing tomorrow, we go meet your lawyer to erase that from the papers. It's a contract, it should be no sex instead. I'm not cheating with my boyfriend again.â."Your boyfriend or your fiance, who is more important.".I sighed, squeezing my eyes shut. âDon't get into my head. I am not letting you have sex with me.â."And if I say no?â."I can sue you for sexual assault, don't play silly games with me.â I said, wondering where I got such courage from. But yeah, I might have had sex with him before or allowed other shit but I wasn't myself then.I'm Sapphire, a baddie and I will not let a man use me like a slut like his other ladies.I grabbed my bag, âI'm sorry, sir. This meeting is going in a wild direction and I'm sorry but I have t
