39 Farewell

Farewell. The words still ring in Mark's ears. He understand it when he was less than ten years old. To lose both parents at the same time in such a sad way.

Even when he found a replacement, the separation never ended. It will always be there because the word "meeting" bound him.

At least today's parting with Aileen differed from the one he had experienced before. He could still see her smile, even if he couldn't see her anymore. He could still call her if he missed her, although that was highly unlikely.
