The sound of running water from the bathroom woke Clara up and she immediately stood up, nervously looking at the clothes on top of her. She figured it out , Mr Ice's face. How would she explain what she was doing in his room? Would he be willing to share a room and bed with her ?
She was so teased that she started sweating in the well-conditioned room. To reduce her nervousness, she started passing from one end to another. He clearly didn't like her, that is why the maids kept calling her Miss Davis. He probably didn't inform them about his marriage..
She boomed to the man who had just walked out of the shower with a towel round his waist and another drying his hair.
Xavier stared down at the little lady in front of him with a deep frown-he noticed her heart-shaped face turned red before she bowed her head embarrassed. He walked past her, avoiding another form of contact between them, as if she was some dirty trash that needed to be avoided by all means.
Being the sensitive person she was , Clara couldn't help but feel hurt by his attitude towards her.
" Do you need someone to help you undress before you go take your bath " he asked coldly with a hint of irritation in his voice.
" Hm.. sorry , but I'd like to do that in my room, I was only waiting for you to show me to my room " she said. She mastered up the courage to say, but that little courage immediately left her when her gentle eyes met his cold piecing ones.
"It's not yet a day and you have forgotten about your status, right ? Then I will be honored to fill you in, Miss. We are now a lawfully wedded couple, which means that you are now my wife and, as a wife, you should share a room with your husband ". He purposely emphasized the last words because of the way she was gripping the aim of her skirt.
Seeing how scared she was , made him happy and satisfied.
" Now to the bathroom " he ordered and she quickly replied like a puppet..
" Ye..... yes Sir" she said, chocking on her words, he hurriedly took out her night dress and towel and ran into the bathroom, making sure the door was properly shut before she let out the air she was holding in.
How will she spend the rest of her life with such a person. Would her uncle and Aunt be right? She wouldn't blame them for choosing her instead of their daughter and would also do the same thing for her..

After some time, the bathroom door opened and she walked out with her hair wet. She robotically walked towards the dressing room trying not to disturb the man who was on the phone.
After some time, she came out ready for bed but he seemed to have other plans for her.
" Come here!" He ordered.
She walked towards him, conscious not to get him angry. He pulled her close to him, very close. Testingly, he asked

That question was so sudden that her face turned red with embarrassment and at the same time anger .
Isn't he too much ? Not only did he not see her as his wife, he also didn't have any form of respect for her. The sudden touch on her breast startled her so that she jumped out of his lap.

" Miss Davis the doctor is here " one of the maids informed her. She couldn't sleep last night and today he called a psychologist to check up on her.
Hearing that a psychologist was out there waiting for her , it got her surprised beyond words. How did this person know about her past ? The darkest day of her life, the day that had become a nightmare for her, but her family had already destroyed all traces of that incident.

For the past few days, she has been with doctor Smith and others doctors who commented that she was fine for now, but her condition could be triggered in the future if she was mentally stressed.
This wasn't new to her any more. A lot of doctors have said the same thing but since then she has been fine.
He is just like her heartless Grandpa. After her parents died, she lost every reason to live. Seeing other children her age, she noticed that she was really different that was when it all started .
Her little self back then pleaded with her grandfather not to send her to the mental hospital , but no one took pity on the eight-year-old girl. She stayed there along side those mentally ill patients for a good three years .
It was not until the old man finally died.. before her 3rd uncle, who took over the family head position, brought her back home.
But since then , she could no longer live like other kids, since all the children in school all knew about that incident.
Growing up was tough for her and now, when she's beginning to move on with her life, he went and dug up her past.
Tears dropped freely from her face, she lost her appetite and ran into the bedroom...
The maids could only looked on with pity in their eyes...
After three days, everything went back to normal. She still slept with him in the same bed but he never made a move on her and she was happy with that because both of them were just familiar strangers to each other.
But even this little happiness was also cut short by him.
