Despite knowing that he was a rougue and that I was q bit far away from home in woods that are not familiar to me, I was so taken aback by how handsome he was.

A scar ran from his right eye to the bottom of his chisel chain but that still didn't reduce his beauty rather it made him look more handsome in a fierce way.

"Are you done gawking at me?"

That was when I finally realised that I've been looking at him like an idiot, but I was trying to back away from him. He placed his hand that was free on my waist and held me closer to his chest.

"Come on since you have gotten the chance to look at me then I should get to look at you a little bit.

His finger left my chin and then went over to my neck sending shivers all over my body and then it ran into my hair giving me the unpleasant memory that it was now silver.

"Silver hair huh?" that was the most relaxed expression that had gotten over my head the entire night, then suddenly I was remembering the man with the blue eyes.

Suddenly one of the rogues behind him shifted into his own human form and worked up to the two of us.

"Boss, are we going to have some fun with her first?"

It seems like this handsome rogue was in charge of the rest, which sounded a little strange to the ears especially since rogues are known to be quite independent and move on their own for somebody to bring rocks together they would have to be in deed very powerful.

The man with his scar that was holding lovely to and his head over to the other one that has shifted I made that comment.

" just how foolish can you be?" he said in a voice that was both annoyed and at the same time calm in a frightening and cool way.

"It took me a longer time to recognise her because of the silver hair but it's her indeed, the feared Beta's daughter…just imagine how much money she will bring us when we ask for ransom."

Suddenly I remember the look of disgust my own parents had given me when they realized that I did not have a wolf and my hair was silver.

  "Please let me go,"

It was as if I was just realizing the situation that was inside and the man's creep on me was like iron even though he seems to be holding me casually.

"And why would I let go of you now? You're going to bring me a lot of mone-"

The fear and panic inside of me made me instantly attack him and then I fell on my leg between the place where the sun doesn't shine and he folded up. I took the opportunity to begin running again but then they were chasing after me.

"Get her!" He growled after me, I was working on my two bare legs but they were chasing me with their wolf form they were definitely going to capture me soon.

I bit my bottom lip waiting for the inevitable when suddenly I crashed into a tree but instead of falling down on my back a pair of strong hands reached out and then two blue orbs were looking down at me.

It was the man that had been looking at me earlier.

He looked up at the rocks that showed up a few seconds later still holding me in his arms but now he balanced me on my feet.

The moment they saw him the first reaction with one of the rogues that have not shifted but remained in his human form.

 "It's the Alpha King!"

I couldn't believe that this was actually the Alpha King!

The rogues instantly ran away fast enough to even forget their own shadows and then their leader was the only one standing there, he looked down at me.

"I guess we will be seeing each other again,". And then he shifted and turned.

I breathed out a sigh of relief, and then the alpha King escorted me back to my home without saying a word and his face not betraying any emotion.

When we stood at the doors of my home he finally spoke and gave me an offer that I was not expecting.

"I want you to pretend to be my Bride for thirty days…"

I was stunned, then he explained that his mother was pressuring him to get married and he needed somebody to pretend to be his bride to distract her.

"Thank you for saving me…" I said,"...but your offer is too sudden and I can't…I'm betrothed too…"

With his monotone voice he responded.

 "The offer still stands,"

Suddenly I felt someone's arm on my shoulder, when I looked up I was surprised to see my sister.

When I looked back he was gone.

Becky held me firmly and walked me to my room, everyone gave way as if I was a plague and the next thing I knew I had my cheek pressed against a pillow, soaking it up with tears.

Tonight wasn't supposed to go like this!

I was tempted to grab my hair and pull out those disgusting silver strands, I couldn't stand looking at them when my eyes would stray across a mirror.

My sister didn't see anything and allowed me to cry to my heart's content.

Then finally she pulled away the silver hair from my face and asked me how I was feeling.

"Terrible, I wish I could just disappear!" I admitted, and then she kept my cheek that was when I realised that it was only my sister that have truly loved me at al-

"Good, you are finally starting to understand…"

Out of the blue a wicked smile painted her lips and she went over to lock her door then she came and continued speaking as if she had never paused.

"... It hurts doesn't it? For everyone to look at you and see you as nothing but trash…"

"Becky…I don't understand…" I said and her smile grew wider.

"How stupid can you be? I'm the one that cursed you!"

  • Betrothed To The Rogue King   Unsure

I opened my eyes slowly, unsure where I was or what I was doing there exactly. The room was brightly lit, and there was a woman at the foot of the bed seemingly arranging something in a little blue box. My sensitive nose picked up the scent of disinfectant immediately, and it nauseated me. "Where am I?" I croaked, surprised at my voice and wondering if the curse that changed my hair and turned me into an outcast overnight, had also managed to turn me completely into a toad with a croaky voice to match. "Oh, you are finally awake!" The young woman squealed when she saw that my eyes were open, eliciting a weird stare from me because how could anyone be so happy that I opened my eyes, when I wished that I would never ever open them up or be alive again. She ran out of the room apparently to go get the doctor or something. While she was away, I managed to sit up on the firm clean mattress, and sit weakly, looking at my body and feeling tears well up in my eyes again. How could my fa

My heart was broken, but the blue eyes propped me up and kept me. It was easier to make a decision finally. "Oh… You look better than when I picked you up beside the shallow grave that was to house your cursed body." The Rogue King said, getting on my nerves for the umpteenth time. "How do you really intend to monetize me? Are you still thinking about my parents?" I asked, ready to play throw-and-go-find with a racket with him like lawn tennis. "Oh… You really think that I am counting on your parents?" The Rogue King Ethan laughed loudly, and his goons laughed along with him and stopped immediately he stopped. "I find this choreography really quite adorable, but you have no idea just how useless I actually am to you." I said, standing my ground, and flipping my silver hair. "You might not be aware, but somebody even more powerful than the Greysons is interested in your cute cursed self. I mean, I don't know what anyone would want with that silver mess on your head, but all I w

  • Betrothed To The Rogue King   Cursed

I was surprised when the nurse woke me up. She was always very kind to me, but kept her distance at the same time. I was still cursed after all, and an abomination to wolves everywhere in the world. I was surprised by the fact that she was removing me from the drip that I was still on, and bandaging up the parts of my body that needed to be covered. I laid there quietly and let her do what she was doing even though I did not understand anything. The doctor had told me just last night that I was going to be discharged after three more days of careful observation, so to have her suddenly remove me from the drip and everything else was a surprise to me. But I trusted the hospital, soI just trusted the process. "Please get dressed, Miss." She said politely, handing me some clothes. I stared at her in shock, not reaching out for the clothes, so she left them on the chair in the room. Before I could find my voice enough to form a coherent sentence, she had picked up her equipment and hu

Ethan wanted me in his home, but why? Why didn't he say something sooner? Who was my "buyer", and why was I with Ethan, and not with my saviour? He continued anyway, "We've been trying to get you released for quite some time, but your ransome payer refuses to follow all my instructions. He keeps thinking that he can just play me and get you from my grasp without paying." He chuckled as he lit his cigar, and his tone and demeanour scared me more than being chased by him and his wolves back in the woods. "Can I…" I stuttered, and took three deep breaths before continuing. "Can I ask why we are in your house?" I sounded dumb even to myself. He stopped smoking for a while and left his cigar suspended mid air between his index and thumb. "Were you deaf to what I just said?" He yelled furiously. "My way or no other way!" He stated with a note of finality. Why hadn't the person just listened to him? Why had they not just followed his instructions knowing very well how extreme and dang

When I got to the study, there he was, sitting behind his desk, sipping tea, with a stack of papers and documents in front of him, writing notes in his big notebook that was laid down flat on the top of the stack."How do I deserve this?" I asked desperately, setting my emotions free, stopping myself from running into his arms. Absence indeed had made my heart grow fonder. Ethan looked up at me with soulful eyes and a look that I remember from when he had taken me from the hospital. He stood up slowly, and walked even slower over to where I stood at the door. By the time he stood directly in front of me so that I had to look up at his tall frame to see his face, I was panting from exhaustion. "How have you been, little one?" The Rogue King asked kindly, and I felt a sudden and inexplicable urge to slap him hard across the face. I was his prisoner, not his love interest, so why was he looking down at my lips like that. I backed away from him. I noticed the look of hurt or something
