Chapter 459

Sofia’s pov

I held my breath as the car pulled into the compound, and I sigh before glancing down at my fingers which I hadn’t realized were trembling until right now.

The car had been feeling extremely stifling because of one of the guys who was kept in the passenger seat. He had attempted to plead his way out of it just as we pulled out of the mall, but a wave of Ryan’s gun in his face made me swallow his words and get himself together, and he had remained completely silent throughout the rest of the ride. But, that didn’t stop me from still feeling suffocated, knowing that he was in the car with us was, along with the other two in the booth of the car, was enough to make it feel like there wasn’t enough space for my heart in the middle of my chest.

As soon as the car drew to a stop, I hastily reached for the handle of the door, but Ryan who hastily alighted from the driver’s spot, got to it from the outside before me, thanks to my hands which were still trembling.
