Ariaclose to two weeks had passed, King Kaida's door was still locked and Prince Zane was still in front of his father's chamber. Aria hadn't gotten the chance to see Prince Zane as much as she wanted. she had been training hard with her father, day and night, preparing for the war. Aria knew that the training she received from her father was just a beneficial excuse from his side. he was using training to create distance between her and Prince Zane. Whenever Aria wanted to see Prince Zane he always gave her a reason not to. reasons Aria couldn't argue with. One of the reasons Aria didn't like to hear from him was when he said that she was too sweaty, and she needed to bathe, when Aria finally bath, he would argue that it was too late, and make comments about her seeing him the next day. as though he wasn't going to come up with a new excuse the next day. Aria was aware of all her father's schemes. some days she let him have his way. simply because she noticed how at ease her fathe
Aria "what is going on?" Aria voices out her questions this time. Prince Zane looked as though he was in deep thought as he spoke to a guard, the look in his eyes made Aria know that he needed Aidan and Nadia, he didn't trust the guards for the job he had given to them. "Zane talk to me, who is she?" Aria questions him. Prince Zane turned to Aria at the mention of his name. his facial features were hard, he was angry at her but why? Aria couldn't understand what was going on. "why didn't you tell me sooner about the maid you saw in the palace? you should have stopped her!" he shouted, accusations in his voice. Aria didn't even know what he was accusing her of. "who knows if she is still here." he said to himself, "No, I'm sure that she is still here." Aria steps back away from Prince Zane. even though she didn't know what she did wrong, with the way Prince Zane spoke to her, she felt guilty and didn't want to stay by his side anymore. Aria wanted to go back to her father."I kne
Aria Aria was careful when she left her room, she asked Erika to distract her father so that she could escape training and see Prince Zane.as Aria went to King Kaida's chamber where she knew Prince Zane was, she stopped in her tracks, as she saw the maid, they had all been looking for. she stood in front of Prince Zane, looking completely innocent. A food tray was in her hand as though she was just an ordinary human.anyone who saw her would believe that Prince Zane made a mistake. but Prince Zane's eyes couldn't deceive him, he was blind, and he leaned more on his senses than his sight. "it is you." Prince Zane said, You are Elqenna aren't you?" He asks with certainty in his voice.Aria carefully passes the maid to Prince Zane's side. a cold shiver of fear passed through her. She felt the same way she did the first time she saw the maid. 'what is her?' Aria thought as she looked at the maid who still feigned innocence, blinking her eyes in confusion as though she didn't know wha
Aria "the last time we met, you were just a baby," Elqenna said to Prince Zane. Nostalgia filled her voice. She was calm, she didn't act like someone who was surrounded by guards. 'how was she this calm, after knowing that Prince Zane wanted her dead." Aria asks herself. could it be that she was confident in her powers or she thought that Prince Zane was bluffing? "your father had once told me that you were stubborn, I thought it was normal for children to be stubborn but I never knew that yours was far worse." Elqenna continues, "I have been trying to enter King Kaida's chamber since I came to the palace. but his chamber is always guarded and you are always here whenever I come to check." Elqenna's eyes went round the guards that surrounded her. Although Prince Zane had told them not to attack her they still carefully kept an eye on her. if she were to make the mistake of doing something against Prince Zane they would attack. "too many guards." she clicked her tongue and hissed. "
Aria "I'm not going to let you see my father alone." Prince Zane said with a stern voice. "if you are capable of giving him a dangerous spell there is no telling the harm you can do to him if you are allowed to see him alone." "you know that I'm not going to do any harm to your father," Elqenna said, with a conviction that Prince Zane knew the truth."I'm not sure." Prince Zane turned away from Elqenna and faced the door to King Kaida's chamber. he placed the palm of his hands on the door that was still locked. "I know nothing about you, I have no reason to trust you."Aria could sense the deception in Prince Zane's voice. he sounded like he was telling the truth. but he was putting on his fake mask again. "I'm sorry but you have to, there is nothing I can do to prove myself to you." "I would have if you didn't give my father a spell that helped him to lock himself up. I'm sure that you know, how my father is feeling on the other side of this door." 'he isn't mentioning the blood
Aria King Kaida kept shaking his head. his mouth moved in a silent word no one but Elqenna could understand."what is wrong with my father?" Prince Zane's question. he tried to read out King Kaida's words in the dark but he couldn't. "what is he trying to say?" He faces Elqenna."King Kaida refuses to speak in front of you," Elqenna said. her voice was in a knowing tone that almost sounded like she knew this was going to happen and she told Prince Zane that this was going to happen. "your father doesn't want you here." "Can you heal him?" Prince Zane asks, ignoring Elqenna's words. Aria reaches her hands to Prince Zane. The desperation in his voice. the look on his face, she had never seen him like this. "there's only one way to heal King Kaida. but he doesn't want that." Prince Zane gazes at his father with a sudden rage. "Do you want to die?" he asked his father who looked as though he was barely paying attention to anything any of them was saying. "you are not allowed to die f
Aria Aria's eyes quickly snap open from another nightmare. her horrid dreams were about King Kaida in his sick condition. in her dreams he looked worse, he was dying and he didn't hide it from her. he told Aria to take care of Prince Zane and not let him live alone. Aria hated her dreams because she would like to believe that King Kaida wasn't dying, there had to be a way to save him. if she was able to find a way to save King Kaida, Prince Zane was going to be with her again. he hadn't come to the room even after opening the door to King Kaida's chamber. Aria wanted to stop her nightmare that had been happening ever since the past few days that she last saw King Kaida. She didn't only want to stop her nightmare, but she also wanted to see Prince Zane smiling his arrogant smile at her once again. "focus Aria, focus." alpha Draven rubbed the temple of his head in frustration."I'm foc_"Aria's words were interrupted by her brother's attack. "Is this how you plan on going to war ag
Aria "To save King Kaida, your kind is needed," Elqenna said to Aria. 'My kind?' Aria thought."There are different types of shape-shifters but only the lifespan of a werewolf could be used to keep King Kaida from dying. and they have to be at a specific age." a certain horror comes to Aria as she remembers about the missing wolf. 'Did King Kaida use them to keep himself from dying?' Aria was afraid to ask Elqenna. If Alpha Bryant was to ever find out the truth, then the peace treaty they had with Esterial was over because his first mate was a victim of King Kaida's act. "the spell that is to be used on the werewolf is a dangerous one. if one is not careful it can even kill the spell caster." "What..." Aria stammers, she wants to know how to save King Kaida but this isn't what she wants. so many werewolves died because of King Kaida. just because Aria didn't care about Jenny didn't mean that she wanted others to die as well. "what does the spell do to the werewolf after it had be
