Chapter 6

"Why is she here? Did Mom let her?" I asked.

"I don't know. I saw her here earlier and she's your responsibility here. Just keep an eye on it," she answered and then left me there completely.

I was in agony and shook because I was going to be a baby sitter now! And I really have to keep an eye on that girl especially since I found out that she has a boyfriend. I don't know that man, that's why I don't trust that he is with my sister now.

I drank my last shot again and asked for two more shots before finally leaving to go back to our table because my friends might be looking for me. They looked up at me when I got there, especially Stefan, so I looked back at him with a frown.

I was still wondering if there was dirt on my face because that man had been looking at me for a while. I couldn't help but notice because it was as if he was reading my mind every time he looked at me.

"Vodka, Eli?" he asked.

My lips lifted and looked at the two shots I was holding. That's why he was looking because of this, that's why I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Yup. You want some?" I will offer it because he might like it.

"Yeah, thanks!" he quickly answered me then immediately took a shot that I was holding.

I just nodded and sat down next to Josiah who was silent while scrolling on his phone.

"Jos," I called him.

"Yes?" he asked while his eyes were still focused on his phone.

"I need your help," I answered him.

He immediately turned to me with a frown.

"What is it? Do you have a problem?" he asked immediately and looked at me carefully as if he was examining me to see if I really had a problem.

I immediately shook my head and took a deep breath before answering him.

"Stella is here and I'm sure she's with that boy. I don't trust that man because I've never talked to him," I told Josiah one after the other.

"Your sister is old enough, Eli. We don't need to watch her anymore. She has a mind so she probably knows her limits," Josiah answered me one after the other, then avoided looking at me. .

I took a deep breath because I knew that Josiah wasn't really going to help me here tonight. I'm just stupid because I know that Stella is the reason why my friend got hurt and then I will ask his for help.

"I'll just get my drinks. I can leave you guys first," Josiah said then left Clara and I there.

"Where is that going?" Clara asked me.

"Didn't you hear? He said he'll get his drink," I answered, then shrugged my shoulders.

Clara was not able to speak when Julius suddenly spoke.

"Guys, so it's not boring. Let's just play!" he suggested.

"What kind of games?" asked Jen, one of our companions there.

"Truth or dare. If you don't answer and do it you have to drink two shots," Julius continued to explain there.

"Game! Count me in and Eli!" Clara said happily so I looked at her with a frown.

"It's up to you. I won't join," I said because I don't like such games.

"Join, Eliana. Alright, if you don't join, we'll really think that you and Stefan like each other," Julius answered me directly just so I could join in.

We just let Josiah go, and I think he will join his other classmates in other subjects. That's much better, so he won't get bored with me and Clara.

And just like Julius said, I couldn't have done anything other than join their silly game. I don't understand why Clara was happy to join in that game. I wish I had just left to find my sister.

"Let's start," Julius said then arranged an empty bottle to spin it.

Elijah was the one who turned the bottle around and I just followed it with a boring look. Suddenly my chest heaved when it stopped. The girls started sneering and Clara was already in the lead, which is why I was annoyed with them before finally speaking.

"Truth," I said.

They grinned and whispered for a while before Patrick spoke.

"Is it true that Stefan is dating you?" Patrick asked me.

I smiled because the question was so easy and the answer was so easy.

"Of course not. That's fake news," I answered, then shrugged my shoulders.

"Her answer is true. I'm just going to date her," Stefan said, causing my friends to shout.

The girls I was with were very excited and of course, Clara was in the lead again because she was still poking me in my side. This girl should be ready later when the bottle hits her.

I also don't understand what Stefan's trip is. I feel that he is very happy when the two of us tease each other, so he constantly stretches me.

We continued the game and there were three people before the bottle hit Stefan. His friends were very happy as if they were ready to ask and make Stefan do something so I just drank the rest of my wine there.

"Truth or dare, Stefan?" asked Julius.

"Dare," Stefan answered bravely.

When I saw the way Stefan's friends looked at me, I suddenly got nervous. I kept thinking about what they will make Stefan do and I'll even be a part of it!

I didn't even make a mistake because of what Julius said.

"We dare you to ask Eli if you have a chance to court her," Juluis ordered.

My eyes widened slightly and I felt my chest heave. My gosh! Why do they have to include me in that dare? I took a deep breath to speak.

"Just drink the two shots, Stefan. You don't have to do that dare," I said to him then I pointed to the two shots that were closed in front of him.

He shook his head at me in response so I frowned at him.

"I don't know how to back down, Eli, sorry. I'm just going to ask you because I want to know," he said then laughed a little, which made our friends laugh as well.

"Come on, Eli. Stop being a killjoy! He'll just ask you," Clara whispered to me so I tormented her again.

I just shrugged my shoulders to continue the game. I was surprised when Stefan suddenly stood up from his seat to come to me.

"What are you doing?" I asked him when he sat down so his chin was on my waist.

"Eliana Scarlet, may I ask if I have a chance if I court you?" he asked me.

They were all very happy there and I could almost feel my cheeks getting hot because of the silly things they were doing. Stefan stayed there and our friends were waiting for my answer, which is why I smirked.

"He's the only one who has the guts here, right? So does it mean I don't have to answer," I said then shrugged my shoulders.

"Yes, by the way. You are stupid!" Stefan complained to his friends so I couldn't help but laugh.

They laughed when they realized what was happening so we just continued playing again. I was nervous because the bottle might have hit me again, but luckily it stopped at Clara. I smirked because I wasn't going to waste that opportunity to get back at her.

"Dare!" she answered bravely, then raised an eyebrow at me.

"I know what you're planning so I won't choose the truth," she whispered to me.

I laughed a little and nodded. It's good and she knows because I won't allow myself to not be able to get back at her tonight.

"I'll be the one to dare hee," I offered.

Her eyes widened and she lightly patted my thigh so I just shook my head at her while grinning.

"Make it easy, Eli!" she said to me, that's why we laughed there.

"I dare you to kiss Elijah," I said then shrugged my shoulders.

Our friends there shouted as if they liked what I was ordering Clara to do.

"Do I need to do that?!" she asked, still surprised so I just shrugged my shoulders.

"You can drink the two shots if you don't want to, Clara. We're not gonna force you," Elijah said with a serious voice.

"Don't be a killjoy tonight, guys! That's just a dare. Go, Clara!" Bea cheered.

"You told me earlier, don't be a killjoy. So stand by that," I whispered to her.

"Fine. I'll do it!" Clara said bravely then stood up to approach Elijah.

"On the lips!" Our friends were shouting so I was very happy watching my friend.

"Sure, no problem. As long as it's fine with Elijah," he answered then shrugged her shoulders.

I laughed even more because at first she was tight but the truth is she liked it! Of course, it's her chance to kiss her crush so I'm sure she'll do everything.

"Yes, Clara. It's fine, I'm fine," Elijah answered her then he grinned.

I immediately took out my phone to take a video of them. The people we were with were very happy and of course, I was one of them. It's a pity because Josiah isn't here, I hope he can see the chaos that our two friends are doing right now.

I was smiling while watching what was happening. Clara finally got closer to Elijah and I saw from them that they already had enough wine so my friend felt so strong.

When Elijah was in front of Clara, he opened his face so that Clara could kiss there properly and my eyes almost widened and I stopped when their lips met. It was a few seconds and maybe when Clara realized it, she immediately left there to return to my side.

"That's so passionate, Clara! I can see that something has sparked between the two of you!" Stefan teased the two.

I just shook my head and applauded my friend because I think she is the bravest person there. They even teased me while the game continued and I was very thankful because the bottle didn't touch me until we finished playing there. The other people with us went to the dance floor to dance. They even invited me but I had no intention of dancing because the alcohol hadn't hit me yet. I don't dare to dance there.

I just drank with my friends who stayed there even though I didn't like what they were drinking.

"I'm leaving first, okay? I'll just follow Elijah," Clara said goodbye to me while whispering.

I frowned at her because I couldn't believe what she said.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked her curiously.

He grinned and shook her head then stood there, which is why I looked up at her.

"Alright. You stay here for now. I'll come back here later," she answered me, then left there completely.

My jaw dropped because I didn't expect that she would follow that man. I just shook my head because what else could I do? She had a crush on that guy back when we were still in high school so there's nothing I can do.

"Eli," Stefan called me.

I looked up at him and just now I noticed that he was not here at our table earlier. He smiled at me and then showed me a bottle of vodka causing my eyes to widen.

"I bought you this," he said to me then opened it for me to pour my glass.

"Thank you. You don't have to buy me that much," I told him even though I was very happy because I could finally drink my favorite drinks again.

"Why not? I'm just taking that back from the drinks you gave me earlier. You seem to have missed it," he said then laughed a little.

I also laughed a little and shook my head because even if I was hung there, it would be fine. I can just go to the bar counter again to order my drinks.

"Still, you don't have to. You might just get me drunk and take advantage of me," I told him in a joking voice.

"Ouch! You're terrible," he answered me and held his chest as if I stabbed him in the heart.

"Just kidding. Thank you for this," I said to him before I finally swallowed a shot.

Turns out he's kind and just stupid. No matter what I do to avoid him, it looks like I can't avoid him anymore because my group and his group are always together and we're just in batches.
