Chapter Thirty-Seven

AUTHOR'S POV

“It's going to be alright, princess.” Enzo said as he drove.

He took one hand off the steering wheel to give Gypsy's hand a reassuring squeeze along with a small smile.

Gypsy allowed herself to smile back even though she didn't feel the lightness of the spirit to do so. Because her heart was racing.

Today was the custody trial. Today she was going to fight to keep her son. And she couldn't get rid of the gloomy thought that something was going to go wrong today.

She nearly jumped out of her skin when Enzo suddenly stopped the car and she realized they were already at the court.

“Mrs. Russo. Please remember everything we talked about.” Mr. Saenz, Enzo's lawyer who was representing her, told her from the front passenger seat where he was sitting.

“They'll do everything they can to provoke you. They'll try to present you as a bad mother and a bad person. The way you'll react will tell the judge a lot so be careful.”
