66. Abandoned Castle

Winter was wearing his coat since she hasn’t bought anything with her but herself and her needles. It looked like an abandoned castle with lots of vines. The staff came out and lined up as they bowed at him.

“Welcome home, your grace.”

He nodded.

“Is my room ready?” He asked, still holding Winter’s hand.

“Yes, your grace.” They eyed her as they bowed their heads. She bowed as Paxton looked down at her with a smile.

“How about our bath?” Paxton asked.

“It’s ready anytime.” The head of the castle said.

“How about the things I ask?” He asked.

“They will be here in thirty minutes, sir.”

Winter didn’t think that it was an abandoned castle. The inside was clean, and everything seemed to be old but good old. She tried to keep up with him and nearly tripped as he apologized to her. He scooped her and carried her upstairs.

She tapped him and shook her head. But he only smiled.

“I know you are tired. Let’s get lazy today.”

She hugged his neck and leaned on him. He kissed her shy face
