25. In Heat

She stared at nowhere while Cedric was babbling things about his current situation. Like the medicine that he’s currently making.

“Make me a drink to sleep.” She said, “Just do it.”

“I can’t.” He mumbled.

She rolled her eyes.

“Give me a strong one. I haven’t been sleeping well for the past few days.” She said.

“Fine.” He said as he took out a bottle. “Just a drop on your tea. You’ll sleep well after.”

“What happens if I put in more drops?”

She took it quickly as she sighed.

“When will Dominick come home?” She asked. “I’m bored.” She stood as she went to the balcony to watch the chrysanthemum.
