He only wanted to talk to his princess at this time, but he didn’t want to look desperate, unfortunately, Mr Davis noticed and only chuckled. “Can’t wait to chase us out right? Mr Davis teased his friend. “Exactly! Mr Jones said quickly, but immediately came back to his senses when he realized his response . He stared at Mr Davis sheepishly and coughed before saying, “sorry man, I can’t help but be worried”. “I understand “. Mr Davis said, trying to cheer up his friend. “You know, I haven’t seen her this low before, although she said she just misses me, I know it must be a lie”. Mr Jones said as he concluded. “You both really need a long conversation because she needs it”. Mr Davis said as he stared at Harris who was staring at his phone with a frown on his face. “Got any problem son? Mr David asked Harris, who said, “No Dad”. And kept on looking at his phone. Although he pretended to be on his phone, he was actually listening to their conversation that was why he furrowed his brow. Just then, he received a message from his assistant, reminding him of the meeting which was scheduled around 4:30pm. He checked the time and saw that it was 3:20pm, so he decided that it was time to leave first. He doesn’t need to come early, after all he is the CEO of the company. He just wanted to leave first because he was not putting on his business suit but rather a simple comfortable cloth since he was on a visit. He stared at Mr Jones and said, “it was nice meeting you uncle, I need to be in the office now”. “Ok my boy, you have really tried , after all you took out some time to visit this old man”. Mr Jones said as he laughed cheerfully. ‘It was worth it, after all I got to see the love of my life’. He thought but he didn’t dare to say it out loud. He just smiled and nodded at him before facing his father. “Dad, I’m going to send a driver to pick you up whenever you are done”. He said as he remembered that he actually came here with his father. “Go you stinky boy, I don’t need your help, just get me a daughter in law”. Mr Davis said as he waved his hands at him. Harris was speechless as he listened to his father’s tantrum. “Here we go again dad, I’m not interested in getting a wife any soon, so don’t bother me with that”. Harris said with a forced smile. "How can he have the heart to get married when the love of his life was already married to someone else, just the thought of it was killing him, but sadly, he couldn’t do anything to change that fact”. “You see what I’m saying, how I wish I had a lovely daughter like Rachel, I won’t even bother about you”. Mr Davis said as he laments. After that, he stared at Mr Jones with sparkling eyes and asked , “why don’t Rachel adopt me as her second father, wouldn’t that be nice? Mr Jones became speechless as he stared at his friend with a disgusting look. “Hey man, my daughter is only mine, and there will not be two fathers”. He said with a threatening look, making Harris chuckle. “My life sulks”. Mr Davis said as he slapped his thigh. Harris just stared at his father and nodded at him, before walking out of the house. “Look at him, he didn’t even wave me a goodbye, what a stinky brat”. Mr Davis said with a frown, as he remembered his friend who received a peck from his daughter earlier on. “Grow up man, you are no longer a child”. Mr Jones said as he chuckled. Harris heard his father’s words, but he didn’t bother to look back. He went outside the mansion, and saw the chauffeur who was already waiting for him. He quickly entered the SUV which was customized and sat comfortably on it. “Where to sir? The chauffeur asked with a polite voice. “To the office, and send someone to pick up my father”. He said as he rested his head on the arm rest of the car. “Ok boss”. The chauffeur said as he started the engine, and finally drove out of the mansion. Shortly after, they got to a majestic building which was standing tall in a conspicuous area. The words “DAVIS COOPERATION”. Was written boldly at the top of the building which consists of 37 floors with the last floor being the CEO office. Harris adjusted his trouser before stepping out of his car. He wasn’t prepared to be stared at as a species by his employees, so he chose to use his personal lift, which took him directly to his office. When Harris got to his office, he entered his mini apartment and went straight to the bathroom to get a soothing shower. After that, he tied a towel on his waist with water dripping on his body which made him look alluring and hot. Ladies will faint just to see his body, but sadly , he is known to be a cold boss, who only keeps a straight face. He went to his closet and selected a business suit before wearing it. After that, Harris styled his hair and sprayed his perfume for the day before leaving his mini apartment. Harris sat on his chair and decided to do some paperwork before going for the meeting. He was so lost in his work and only stopped when his assistant knocked on his door to inform him that it was done. Daniel, who was the assistant, entered his office and said in a calm voice, “sir it’s time “. “Alright”. Harris said without looking up from his system. Five minutes later, he finally stopped and stretched his hands, before handing his laptop and tab to Daniel who took it carefully from his hand. “Let’s go”. Harris said as he stood up from his chair and headed out with Daniel behind him. …….. Meanwhile, Mr Jones was finally alone as Mr Davis left about 10 minutes ago. He finally had time to go and check on his daughter. Mr Jones sighed as he climbed the stairs, heading to his daughter's room. As he got there, he noticed that her room was silent, so he gently knocked and waited for a response, but when he got no answer after knocking for a while, he became worried. Gently checking the door, he observed that it wasn’t locked, so he opened it gently and entered , that was when he relaxed when he saw her sleeping. Looking at his princess who was so calm in his sleep made him smile softly. Just as he was about to leave, he heard a whimpering sound coming from her which made him scared. He walked to her quickly when he heard her sad voice, “please don’t go…….. you used me……” “Honey, wake up”. He said as he shook her gently. “I hate you….”. She said as she gasped which scared him greatly. Rachel who was unaware of her surroundings was having a mental breakdown in her sleep. She was still in the process of memorizing what happened earlier when she was jolted awake by her father. She looked around with a weak gaze as she tried to familiarize her surroundings. But she quickly remembered that she was home, that was when she saw her father who was staring at her with concerns etched on his face. She quickly regained herself as she threw herself in father’s body with a cry. From her expression and the words she muttered, he already has an idea of what happened to his daughter. He just kept quiet as he pats his daughter while assuring her that she was ok. Meanwhile, his face was already getting cold as he recalled her words.
