Chapter 8: Instant karma

~~~
Colombia.
Reina woke up to the sound of voices nearby. As she opened her eyes, she saw Lucas's blurry face looking down at her. “Reina, are you okay? I'm sorry, my love, I didn’t know you were pregnant.”
“I'm pregnant?” Reina replied, placing her hand on her stomach. A smile spread across her face as she caressed it and whispered, “My baby.”
Lucas, who hadn't finished speaking, continued. “No, my love, your fall was hard. You lost the baby, and the doctor said it damaged your womb. You won’t be able to bear another child.”
Lucas spoke gently to Reina, but inwardly, he was saying, “That’s karma for trying to kill my son.” He felt relieved that he hadn't lost his son with Bianca. If he had heard the news of Reina losing her child, even a day earlier, maybe he would have been devastated; he had wanted Reina to bear his child. However, after his meeting with attorney Jose the previous day, he realized he didn’t care, even upon learning that Reina would never be able to have children again.
Reina turned away at Lucas' words, a wave of anguish washing over her as Lucas’s words echoed harshly in her mind, crashing down on her like a tidal wave. The reality of her situation settled in; she was pregnant, but once again, she had lost the precious life that could have been. After enduring the heartbreak of her second pregnancy slipping through her fingers, now she faced the cruel declaration that she would never conceive again?
An engulfing darkness suddenly enveloped Reina, and she felt herself being pulled deeper into an abyss, stripped of every reason to hope.
All the people she once cherished were all gone—her parents, her bodyguards, and her maid, who had become her closest companions, were no longer by her side. The fate of her beloved nanny was unknown. The void left by their absence, combined with the news of losing her child and her barrenness, felt unbearable.
She hugs her knees tightly, seeking solace in the gesture but finding none. Where there had once been a glimmer of hope, a spark of strength, now there lay only despair.
Her once-bright eyes turned into dark pools, devoid of light and life, reflecting the crushing weight of her helplessness as she slowly surrendered to the silence, the emptiness—no longer even trying to fight against the overwhelming sorrow that was trapping her, leaving her with a haunting void of loneliness. Reina lay there, motionless, surrendering to the shadows that loomed around her, feeling as if she had nothing left to fight for.
“Reina,” Lucas called out, noticing something unusual about her. Her once vibrant body, eyes, and hair had turned pale as if she were a soulless being. But Reina didn’t respond. He shook her gently, yet she remained unmoved and felt cold to the touch. Lucas looked up at the doctor, who had also approached Reina, examining her.
After examining her, he turned to Lucas and reported, “I believe the news of her miscarriage traumatized her. She has become a shadow of her former self. This usually happens to patients who had an abusive childhood.” Lucas looked at the doctor wierdly at his last statement. 'Reina never experienced any abuse in her childhood; she rather was an abuser.' He thought as he nodded and asked the doctor, with no hint of worry on his face and voice,
“So, can it be cured?” already anticipating the answer he wanted. But the doctor said the opposite of what he was expecting.
“Yes, with therapy, but it also depends on her willingness to overcome it. And you, her husband, she needs you now more than ever.”
“Okay,” Lucas replied, his thumb brushing Reina's bruised cheek gently. The doctor exited the room. Lucas sighed and said, “Reina, I'm sorry for how I've treated you. Please get better. I love you.” But Reina only stared at him blank.
However, at the entrance of Bianca's private ward, an air of confusion swept over the two bodyguards stationed there. Their expressions turned quizzical as they exchanged perplexed glances when they started to hear moans that sounded like pleasurable moans coming out of the room. 'But how can that be? That would mean their madam and the doctor are having sex; there's no way the madam is making love inside, right?' Their thoughts mirror each other's.
But that was exactly what was happening inside. Bianca was bent face down on the hospital bed. The doctor was pressing her face down in the sheet with his fingers wrapped around her nape, while his other hand held her hips to meet his deep thrusts, pushing his cock into her wet cunt. Bianca moaned, her fingers fisting the sheets and rocking her hips to meet the doctor's insane dives, and he continued to slam into her with force. She screams his name, telling him not to stop. She was enjoying how he was fucking her without any hint of compassion.
She screams and moans with pleasure, finally cumming on the doctor's dick. However, the doctor continued pounding into her till he released his load inside her. Bianca dropped, her knees hitting the floor as she came down from the heights of her orgasm.
Dr. Matteo helped her up after getting dressed; he straightened her hospital gown and laid her on the bed.
“I miss you, Bianca,” Dr. Matteo said, and Bianca smiled and replied.
“I miss you more. Thank you for yesterday; I was worried when I didn't see you.”
Matteo nodded and said, “Thank your lucky stars. I realized I left my keys on reaching the parking lot. I saw your lover’s men outside on my way back and realized it must have something to do with you.”
“Thank you, Matteo, for everything,” Bianca said, heaving a long sigh.
“You are welcome. I thought you would use the opportunity and claim you lost the child since you are not pregnant; why didn't you?” Matteo asked, seeking an explanation for his curiosity. He had known Bianca couldn't bear children six years ago when he found her near the dumpster outside the hospital. It was like the people who tortured her left her there for fate to decide her life, and he was the one who found her.
He later found out she had been brutally raped, and it wasn't by one person; judging by the vaginal tears she suffered, it was more than ten men, and she was beaten to an extent before she was raped. He had wondered what she did wrong to deserve such brutal punishment. But sadly, she never spoke about what happened to her when she woke up and demanded she didn't want the police involvement. Since then, she developed a syndrome that made her want to engage in sex whenever she was alone with a man.
What Dr. Matteo didn't know was, Bianca had suffered an instant karma that day.
“I would use another opportunity for that, but when that time comes, you will have to tell Lucas I could no longer bear children.” Bianca said. Matteo sighed, looking at Bianca, and nodded. ‘Maybe it was the sex, but he had grown attached to her. But she loves her dearest Lucas, and he didn't want to destroy their relationship by telling her how he felt.’ He thought and smiled; he bent down and kissed her on the forehead and said, “Take care,” and walked out without looking back.
